We had to hurry this morning and even then I went without my lunch. We were busy at the mill and didn't quite get finished till dinner, but I deserted them.

After dinner we cleaned up and went to a hearing at J.P. at Vintage where I was fined 12.25 for having driven without lights one evening.

About 4:30 Floss & Ike came & took us to Philadelphia. We had an Italian dinner, spigetti and all. Then we went to the Academy of Music and heard a concert by the Phila. Symphony Orchestra. It was swell, we got home late.

Commentary

The "J.P." is the Justice of the Peace.
