My 22nd birthday. I lay in bed till late again and had to be late for work again. We were not busy at the mill but it took us till two o'clock to get done.

Jane & I went to Lancaster about four. She bought me birthday presents--this pen, which is lovely but needs breaking in, and a lovely white "arrow" shirt as usual. I bought her a birthday present and some other things. We had dinner or light supper at Woolworth's.

We then went to a C.E. rally at West Willow. From there back to Kinzers for a few hours and then home a little late.
