Sidebar

The sidebar allows you to preview the contents of boxes without adding them to your BoxtheWeb account. To bring up the sidebar, move you mouse over to the leftmost edge of your BoxtheWeb page. Select the box type, enter the content you want to preview for and the number of items to preview (if applicable) and click 'Go'.

The sidebar is used by some features of BoxtheWeb without you initiating a query. Selecting the '>>' at the end of an item summary in a feed box, for example, will preview the full contents of that feed item in the sidebar. Likewise, clicking any item in a subscription box will preview that item in the sidebar. The 'Page Controls' link in the page header will also bring up the sidebar with the controls for the current page visible.
