The Rules

From Bluemyuu

The Rules govern all of BMf and apply to all members. No exceptions.

Main Rules

The main rules were written by Tyler and last updated December 23, 2007.

1. Thinking about spamming? Think again. Simple as that. Just don’t spam.

2. No Flaming. Do your best to co-exist with the other members. Keep insults to a minimum. Racism, Sexism, and prejudice in general is not going to be tolerated at all.

3. Do Not Abuse Smilies. 3/4 max, that's really all you need.

4. Do not make a topic that already exists. If you’re making a topic, look around the section first. If there’s already a topic like it, don’t make another one!

5. Keep foul language to a minimum. You can use it, but don’t go crazy with it. At least try to act appropriately.

6. Posting Pornography/Hentai/Content of a sexual nature is strictly forbidden. Not that hard to understand. Simple, just don’t post any images or videos depicting sexual activity, or anyone in the nude.

7. Post in the right section. If you’re making a thread, make sure it belongs in that section. A thread about pets doesn’t belong in General Pokemon Discussion. A thread asking for a team rating doesn’t belong in Misc. Get it?

8. No Advertising. Do not advertise anywhere outside of your signature. This includes forums, websites, and just about everything else. If you want someone to give you the link to a forum or a site, PM them.

9. Art Theft is strictly forbidden. Using a banner, or an image in your sig? Are you going to post a picture in a thread? Well, unless you made the picture, you have to give credit. If you used a generator to make an image, don’t say you made it. You didn’t, you just typed in settings. There’s a difference. Respect the artist’s wishes. If they say “Do not use this image”, don’t use it. If it's something like a CD cover, no credit is necessary. If you got a banner from google, ehh... we'll see if credit's necessary. We're only really worried about it if a forum member made it.

10. Do Not Make Multiple Accounts. You may have one account. That’s all you need. Make another one without telling an admin, or without notice, and you’ll be banned.

11. You may Bump Topics. That's right, bumping is a-ok. The only exeption being, if the topic has already been re-created. Then, leave the topic alone.

12. Do not try to evade bans. If you are banned, don't make another account. Don't give your account info to a banned member so they may get back in. Don't have a friend bug an administrator to try to get you un-banned. Don’t use a proxy to evade bans. You knot what? Don't use a proxy at all. It's completely un-necessary.

13. Don't Double post/Triple post/ect. Don't post more then once in a row, just use the edit button.

14. Mini-Modding is a no-no. The report button is there. Use it. Don't act like a mod if you aren't one.

15. Do not run on with your words. Just… don’t. It’s annoying. Ex: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, DONN'TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

16. Do not make false-quotes. You make a false quote when you quote someone, but change their words into something completely different. It’s annoying, misleading, and immature. Don’t do it.

17. Trolling is against the rules. This is not SPPf. Here, we do not take kindly to trolls.

Chatroom Rules

The Chat rules were written by Kreis and last updated December 31, 2007.

1. No Spamming. What is spam? Stupid, pointless, annoying, messages. You can joke, you can have fun, and if we're all having a good time you probably won't get punished, but try to keep spam to a minimum.

2. Caps. Yes, caps are allowed! Remember, the only time you can’t use them is if you are trying to flame a member.

3. Topic changing OMG, yes, changing the topic is now allowed. However, I have to require a few things: First of all, if a moderator tells you to not change the topic anymore, stop changing it. Second of all, don’t change the topic so it can read something inappropriate. Third of all, don’t change the topic to insult someone, jokes are fine. But if you’re doing it on purpose, don’t do it.

4. Don’t evade a ban If a chat moderator bans you, wait until your punishment is over. If you evade it, it will automatically be an I.P ban from the chat. Just so you know, a silence/ban from the chat only lasts for 5 minutes. That is right, only 5 minutes. An I.P ban doesn’t. I’m sure you can wait five minutes.

5. Flaming. No, you can’t flame a member. Any signs of flaming will consequently result in a ban from the chat. If it is a play fight, say so before you start.

6. Swearing censors. Yes, they are now off. Only a few regulations, though. Don’t abuse it. If a moderator tells you to stop, stop it. Don’t swear to flame a member.

7. Advertising. No, it isn’t allowed. Do so through PM, not in the chat.

8. Inappropriate websites. This should be obvious. Keep those disgusting websites to yourself.

9. Flooding. Flooding is not allowed. Don’t repeatedly post something like +7 times.

10. Private information. We want you guys to be safe, so please don’t post your address or phone number in the chat.

11. Respect. This isn’t really a required rule, but show your fellow members respect.

12. Accounts. No multiple accounts. If we find out, you'll be banned.

13. Impersonating other members: Don't do it! You cannot change your quote, color, profile, and/or display name to impersonate anyone without their permission. Such impersonations are taken VERY seriously, and will result in instant silences, or, instant IP bans if necessary.

Warning System: Depending on the offense, you may be warned, instantly silenced, or instantly IP banned. It really varies depending on how serious the situation is. For a light offense like flooding or spam, you'll get a warning or two. For constant flaming, constant annoying spam, or something similar, you may be instantly silenced. But, if you post any harmful links (virus causing site/sites with pornography/ect.), attack the chat with spam, impersonate another member, or make multiple accounts, you'll be instantly IP banned.
