Kanohi is a word meaning "Mask". Kanohi are purified Protodermis in the form of Kanoka, smithed into the shape of masks by mask-makers in Ta-Koro. There are 4 types of Kanohi:
- Powerless Masks: Powerless masks worn by Matoran. Made from level 1-4 disks.
- Noble Masks: Weak masks worn by Turaga. There is a large variety of them. Made from level 4-7 disks.
- Great Masks: Strong Masks worn by Toa. There is a large variety of them. Made from level 8 disks.
- Legendary Masks: Incredibly strong masks that are not normally worn. There are 2 known ones. Made from level 9 (if any) disks.
Kanohi Masks can come in all different ranges of Powers, but here are ones we've seen:
