Yah, to be honest I wasn't sure to post, but I did want to wish you luck and offer my sympathies. I'm a jackass at times, there's no doubting it. But that's RP, and RP-stupidity, and that should be put aside when RL-things and RL-issues come up. So, yah, more ramble...but, same message. Be well, be happy, and go hug someone you care about.

I must note for the record that Hermes-mun is in fact never a jackass. She is extremely polite, and always backs down when it comes to these kinds of things. You know who's a jackass? I'M A MOTHERFUCKING JACKASS, JACKASS. Jesus christ on a goddamn crutch, what is WRONG with Kali? Because this is HER response:

Subject: While we're clearing the air. Ok, while we are clearing the air. Bad behavior in RPing EQUALS bad behavior in RL to me. I don't separate the two, because we are dealing with real life human beings behind the muns when we RP, and OOC conflict in RPing is therefore conflict between real people in real life.

Uh, why is this "clearing the air" time? That's ... not what Hermes-mun said to do and it's certainly not what she did.

Ah, here we arrive at the principle problem: Kali believes IC = OOC.

When the old Siryn showed up at Sages a couple of weeks ago, you and a few members of your clique swarmed to her post, and you were sure to leave an OOC comment about how excited you were to see her and how she was the rawk. This was after acting extremely condescending and bitchy to my Siryn. I saw that as passive aggressive. So did a BUCKETLOAD of other people, and it confirmed to a bunch of us the suspicion that you had OOC issues with me that you allowed to come IC with my Siryn.

Now we see the second problem: positive behavior towards those Kali feels are a threat to her = you are her enemy.

Note the paranoid reference to Hermes-mun's "clique." Again, I really feel that when there are more than 30 people hanging out together for roleplaying purposes it's not so much a "clique" as it is a roving, versatile RPG. I suppose RPGs are cliques, in a socially acceptable sense. In which case shut up.

Finally, in commentary on this section, I have to point out the irony of Kali telling other people they're passive-aggressive, particularly with the example she gave. She has done the same to Johnny Storm characters, and often reminisces excitedly about players who were around much earlier but are no longer (often for very good reasons -- for example, the Johnny Storm character in question left due to problems with Kali).

No wait, I lied. I have to point out that there most likely is no "bucketload" of people. At this time, she is the only mod of Sages: Camwyn left, Ollie was dealing with family problems, Jack was getting trolled by her, and Metatron had quit because she's psycho.

In fact, I think it was an incredibly bitchy thing to do. I perceive you as cliquey and exclusionary. Believe me, I am not alone. You run with a bunch of players that have a tendency to swarm and ratpack other people whenever there is OOC conflict, rarely, if EVER, looking at how their own actions contribute to problems. They are known on Sages as the CCs, the Chronic Complainers - yes, they have a name, probably unbeknownst to all of you - and they are collectively ugly when they ratpack. You got lumped in with them by association. Sorry.

And now the third problem: Kali projects her own shortcomings onto others.

Again, she refers to "a bunch of players that have a tendency to swarm and ratpack other people whenever there is OOC conflict, rarely, if EVER, lookin at how their own actions contribute to problems." Ironically, this sounds exactly like the description of Kali and her 1000 alts, only sadder because there's really only one person.

She sticks us with the name "Chronic Complainers" (which hasn't been used since, incidentally) and implies we are infamous. Infamous among who? Talking to yourself doesn't count, honey ...

That is why ALL of my pups stopped talking to you. There, I said it, and I feel better.

OLZ, THAT WASN'T PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE AT ALL.

So here are the problems with Kali:

It's really quite an effective formula for dealing with the troubling notion that you might be wrong. Without, you know. Actually dealing with it.

Dear Kali: Just because you can't differentiate between you and your character does not mean everyone else has the same problem. Seriously, let's even pretend her argument has merit. Let's pretend there was some giant conspiracy against Kali for no good reason: we're just mean and she's completely right. What about all the passive aggressive things she's done to other people? What about all the OTHER people Kali's driven away from Sages? What about the e-mails about HER behavior, what about HER clique-y behavior, what about the fact she actually does all the shit she's accusing other people of doing, and worse? WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW??
