It's time that we lay down DA RULES. Or at least the closest thing that AC has to them. That's right, our only rule is that you do not be an idiot. It will be restated several times for emphasis. So get it into your head - do not be an idiot.
With that said, here's our guidelines....
We won't go into excrutiating detail, but follow proper forum decorum, and don't act like an idiot outside of the clearly delineated idiot sections (points to the Random Insanity). Even then, you must only ACT like an idiot, and not actually be one. Trust me. We can tell.
I again emphasize, DO NOT BE AN IDIOT. It takes a lot to piss off the admins, but if you do, you'll be given a warning, a change to your name or title, and a ban if it's bad enough. You might even have the dishonor of having your topic thrown into the Burning Pits of St00f. We don't want trouble, but we're sure as hell ready to deal with it.
Do not piss off the admins. Ever.
Do your best to stay on topic, at least at first. We allow a little straying, because even the admins do. Past the first few posts though, feel free to digress (but don't just derail the entire thing to something totally unrelated. That's simply not cool). However, in the debate forums (Gaming Theory and The Shark Tank), you must stay on topic. If a member strays off topic, they will be given a warning (not a formal one, just a post), and the topic will be closed. Logical digressions are fine - you are allowed to ask questions and generally move where the current point of discussion is. If we go from, say, a discussion about law versus chaos that leads into the nature of man, keeping the focus of the discussion of the latter (instead of the initial topic) is acceptable and even encouraged.
Do not spam, OR TYPE IN ALL CAPS EXCEPT TO MAKE A POINT, or use many exclamation points!!!!!!1!11one
If you choose to leave AC and make a giant fuss about it, we will ban your old account. Don't whine to get it back, because we won't.
Failure to do so may result in your topic being thrown into the Burning Pits of St00f, your name changed to something humiliating, warnings, bans, and admin/moderator torture. Plus, your act is public, so more mature members of AC may laugh at you to reduce their own maturity levels in the process..
