This is Just Yosh It here, putting up two things. First is a few examples of my writing, and second is an example of a typical Gamefaqs RP/FF style sign up. Enjoy.

[21:52] Break Miyama: Hello!
-
OOC: It should be noted that this is an excerpt from a wonderful RP that I participated in last year. My character is Dion. He's your typical fighter type, Epicant is his rather standard broad sword. Hope is his wife. Throughout the RP, Dion experiences most of the emotional and mental growth, which culminates in him switching sides at the very end of the RP. (The sides were balanced with seven players on each side to start, but due to drops and inactivity it became unbalanced, opening a slot for me :D). Hope experiences most of the physical, which results in her going from a stronger than average housewife sick in bed to someone who can hold her own against a better than average soldier. Donny is Dion's best friend who secretly is jealous of him and is very fond of his wife. When Dion switches sides, they are destined to meet in battle. Reiz is my fellow collaborator's character. His weapon, Strauss, is a rifle with a strong personality. You'd have to read the whole thing, including his parts, to really understand. XD These scenes take place at the end of the storyline when Dion and his friend and ally Reiz switch sides and join a rebellion against the organization Silvin Kru, a school of military that is secretly brainwashing its students and turning them into blood thirsty instruments of destruction. If you have any questions about the plot line (this was a collaboration and I only have my parts of the battle) let me know.

[21:53] shirei13: HELLO!
-

+
[21:54] Break Miyama: How are you?
-
*******************
+
[21:55] shirei13: Typing eehehheh
-

+
[21:55] Break Miyama: Good, good.
-
Slice.
+
[21:55] Break Miyama: Now that we've got that out of the way, we do need to talk.
-
+
[21:56] shirei13: Oh?
-
One old ally fell to the ground.
+
[21:56] Break Miyama: Firstly, my attendance tomorrow is hinging on Edwin being able to make it, as he provides the transportation.
-
+
[21:57] Break Miyama: However, it seems like he won't.
-
Stab.
+
[21:57] Break Miyama: If A, B. ~A. Therefore, ~B.
-
+
[21:57] shirei13: Ah, I see.
-
A second.
+
[21:58] Break Miyama: So yeah, unless something else gets arranged, I probably won't be there.
-
+
[21:58] Break Miyama: The second point is a bit more....personal.
-
Chop.
+
[21:59] Break Miyama: It was regarding comments on what I get out of video games.
-
+
[22:00] Break Miyama: The insistence that I only like winning when I explained otherwise was not something I appreciated.
-
Three.
+
[22:00] Break Miyama: I am not that one-dimensional.
-
+
[22:01] shirei13: I'd beg to differ, but go ahead.
-
Four, five, six...
+
[22:01] Break Miyama: See, it's these sorts of things that frustrate me.
-
+
[22:01] Break Miyama: You offer great competition. I try to tell you that, because it's the truth.
-
Dion and Reiz charged up the stairs, surrounded by Silvin Kru warriors. Some fought along side them, some fought against them. All, he knew, were nothing like they were just a month prior.
+
[22:02] Break Miyama: Having that rebuffed, -then- being told what I actually feel? That's frustrating, and I might go as far as to say that it's out of line.
-
+
[22:03] Break Miyama: I explained myself, and I don't want to have words put in my mouth after the fact.
-
Hope lashed her whip at a foe ahead of Dion, knocking him backwards into the crowd of warriors still loyal to the Kru. She fought admirably considering her minimal training. The whip was certainly doing the trick, as the deep gashes and broken cheek bones of the fallen foe attested. Dion lunged upwards at another soldier, driving Epicant straight
+
[22:04] Break Miyama: I'm not sure where you're getting this idea that I'm a completely open book and am always a loud-mouthed goofball who takes competition a mite too seriously, but that is only a part, not the whole.
-
+
[22:04] Break Miyama: I'm trying to change what's merely a single perception that isn't completely representative of who I am.
-
into his gut.
+
[22:05] Break Miyama: I'm trying to correct what I believe to be a hasty conclusion.
-
+
[22:06] Break Miyama: What you see, even if it's for four years, is not what you get.
-
They can't get by me. Not now. I'm too strong.
+
[22:07] Break Miyama: We tend to meet under the same conditions - with a lot of friends, with games about, under an incredibly casual atmosphere, and the like.
-
+
[22:07] Break Miyama: This doesn't leave a bunch of room for variance.
-
"Get...out...of...my...way!" roared Dion as he swiftly climbed the stair case. Reiz was close behind him, taking down soldier after soldier.
+
[22:07] Break Miyama: You aren't seeing me frustrated, or mad, or sad, or nervous, or other things to that effect.
-
+
[22:08] Break Miyama: Am I making sense?
-
Adrenaline surged within the traitor as he smashed his way through the mob of retreating soldiers. He laughed as they began to duck away into little nooks along the way, their weapons long since dropped in surrender.
+
[22:09] shirei13: In all honesty? No.
-
+
[22:09] Break Miyama: THen I'll try to summarize.
-
"We're winning, Reiz! We're really winning!"
+
[22:11] Break Miyama: Being told what I enjoyed about (whatever-it-is) after explaining my thoughts on the matter isn't something I enjoy.
-
+
[22:11] Break Miyama: It's telling me that you know me better than I know myself.
-
Reiz was still calm, however. He nailed a foe in the forehead with the butt of Strauss, sending him reeling backwards. He stomped over him as he continued to climb. Dion might be enjoying this, but Reiz knew that even while aiding his old allies, he was still a traitor. The Kru had fought along side him. These people were at one point his friends and comrades.
+
[22:11] Break Miyama: And the times you see me are not a representative sample of how I am.
-
+
[22:14] Break Miyama: That's the gist of it.
-
"Dion," uttered Reiz lightly as they continued climbing the stairs, "We're traitors now. Sure, we're fighting an evil organization, but we've still betrayed all these young men in the process. Does that make us...evil?"
+
[22:16] shirei13: Are you done now?
-
+
[22:16] Break Miyama: For the most part.
-
Dion slowed down, pondering Reiz's question. He was right. They were traitors, through and through, especially Dion. He had no ties to Krois. He wished death upon at least one of his new allies. Only one among them did he consider worth his trust, and yet he had switched sides anyway.
+
[22:16] Break Miyama: Can I at least have a proper response.
-
+
[22:16] Break Miyama: ?
-
"I...don't think you are, Reiz. These are your old friends, and they needed your help. Myself, however...I'm a bit different. Krois's force is not the reason I've changed sides. I've swapped because I hate the Silvin Kru. My betrayal is evil. Yours is not."
+
[22:17] shirei13: I'm not sureI'll try, though.
-
+
[22:21] shirei13: Quite simply, that's not the issue here. Yes, I'll have you believe what you wish; if you say that the true pleasure you derive from games stems from the challenge and not always winning, then so be it. However, you yourself once said that playing to win and playing to have fun are not mutually exclusiveKeep that in mind; it appears to dominate your thoughts whenever I play with you.
-
Dion continued to slow down even more, letting eager ex-Kru members pass him. Reiz slowed as well to match his pace.
+
[22:22] shirei13: I never put words in your mouth; you already spoke them.
-
+
[22:22] Break Miyama: Right, appears.
-
"Dion--," Reiz was quickly cut off by the sprite-like figure dashing towards them from behind.
+
[22:26] shirei13: "Appears"? I'm attempting to be sarcastic here. I have never seen evidence to the contraryIn every game, for every round, for every time we've ever met, socially or privately, you have never, even once, considered any sort of idea to the contraryThere is no "taking it easy" for you. Everytime I try to sit back and enjoy and enjoy one of the very FEW means of relaxation I have, you ignore my request for a non-serious match and go straight for the throat.
-
+
[22:27] Break Miyama: There is a bit of a problem with that, though.
-
"You aren't evil, you knucklehead!" Hope lightly rapped Dion on the top of his head.
+
[22:27] Break Miyama: Not in the sense that you want relaxation, as that's perfectly acceptable.
-
+
[22:28] Break Miyama: But in that "a relaxing match" isn't clear. There's no clear expectation of what you want me to do.
-
"These people have wronged you and I so many times! Sure, vengeance is wrong, but if you join the good guys to fight the bad guys, doesn't that make you a good guy as well?"
+
[22:28] Break Miyama: How easy is too easy?
-
+
[22:28] Break Miyama: What specifically's right-out in a "relaxing" match?
-
Dion chuckled. "I suppose so, Hope. I suppose so..."
+
[22:28] Break Miyama: I'd be happy to give you a more relaxing match if I knew what constitutes relaxing for you.
-
+
[22:29] Break Miyama: The benchmark is very fuzzy, so I don't exactly have something to aim for.
-
The three were silent for a moment. Dion shot a glance at Reiz, and a small smirk unraveled across his face.
+
[22:34] shirei13: Ah. I see you really are that one dimensional. You're always so literal and rigid. You go straight for the win. That's allThe only goal you want to hear of in the games you play is to be appopriately challenged and to winHence, your obviously ruthless tactics in every match, even when your opponent just wants to ignore who wins and who loses in favor of simply playing the gameThat's not something that canbe quantifiedAll I ask is that you don't always play like winning and challenge is everything.
-
+
[22:34] shirei13: Got it memorized?
-
"We better catch up."
+
[22:35] Break Miyama: It's not rigid to ask where the target is when I'm supposed to be shooting at it.
-
+
[22:35] Break Miyama: You want a relaxing match. I get that.
-
He winked, then charged up the stairs, leaving Hope and Reiz in his dust.
+
[22:35] Break Miyama: The problem is what's relaxing for -you-.
-
+
[22:37] Break Miyama: "Don't always play like winning and challenge is everything" is something I can only shrug my shoulders at, and probably pick someone out of left field like Voldo or Yun-Seong in the hopes of getting close.
-
"Quite the husband you have there, Hope." Reiz laughed.
+
[22:37] Break Miyama: I don't read minds.
-
+
[22:38] Break Miyama: Nor can I work with really vague conditions. It helps to know what actually -is- off-limits so that I won't -do- it.
-
"Quite the husband, indeed," muttered Hope with a contented sigh.
+
[22:39] Break Miyama: It's not being bone-headedly literal; the statement can be taken so many ways, with some ways putting me at risk of escalating the issue.
-

+
[22:40] Break Miyama: The clarity's being asked for for a reason.
-
*******************
+
[22:44] shirei13: No, no, keep going. You're only proving my point. The statements made in my last reply are not exactly difficult to understand, save by someone who refuses to. They have no meaning to you, mostly because you deny them any. You do not take competition too seriouslyIt is never too serious for youI have no idea where you got the idea, but very well. Hold to it if you must. Now, if we can drop this, you brought up, earlier, the real issue at hand.
-

+
[22:45] Break Miyama: Then get to it, if you will.
-

+
[22:49] shirei13: We do tend to meet under the same conditionsWe rarely do otherwiseThat's where the real problem is. The real problem is your behavior when we are around so many people, with such loud music and so many gamesNo, I do not see your other sidesYou do not care to show them to me, though I have seen you mad, frustrated, and sad at the same time. At least in this regard, my conclusion was not hasty, even if has been a mere 4-going-on-5 years.
-
Rucien's room appeared empty at first, but Dion couldn't shake the feeling that something was drawing them inside. He peeked inside, but found nothing.
+
[22:49] Break Miyama: Okay, then.
-
+
[22:53] shirei13: The real problem here is that you feel it a better use of these situations to play games (which you are already better at) with me than to allow an actual party to happen. You feel it a better use of your time to play with me at the expense of other people's time. And quite frankly, you are not the only reason I organize these things. I hadn't seen anyone else there in nearly four months, but you wanted to play SCIV, so it looks like Ryan had to miss out on a much needed chance to see and talk with meDo you understand?
-
"Looks like its empty."
+
[22:54] Break Miyama: Okay, then.
-
+
[22:54] Break Miyama: Are those all of the concerns?
-
He slowly entered, carefully running his eyes across every bit of the room.
+
[22:54] shirei13: No, there's one more.
-

+
[22:54] Break Miyama: Then do go on.
-
Dion heard a slight creak, and turned quickly to his left.
+
[22:55] shirei13: You were a quick read.
-
+
[22:55] Break Miyama: Okay, then.
-
Before him stood Levine Horowitz, prodigy of the Silvin Kru.
+
[22:55] Break Miyama: That'll be all, then.
-
+
Session Close (shirei13): Tue Dec 30 22:56:28 2008
-
He tightened his gloves down and drew Epicant.
+
-
+
-
"It's about time. Hope, watch the door."
+
-
+
-
Without warning, both Dion and Reiz snapped into action. Levine had a massive pike in his hands, but didn't appear to be burdened by its weight. Dion brought Epicant towards Levine as Reiz jumped into the air above him, firing off Strauss.
+
-
+
-
Levine sidestepped Reiz's shot. It was just a little off, but not so much that he should have missed.
+
-
+
-
"Impressive, Levine. But let's see what happens when you meet with brute strength!"
+
-
+
-
Epicant slammed into Levine's pike. However, Levine didn't bother sitting in a dead lock. Instead, he opted to flip up onto Epicant's blade, slamming his boot into Dion's shocked face.
+
-
+
-
Dion fell to the ground, dazed. "Reiz, careful! He's like lightning when he moves."
+
-
+
-
Reiz clashed with Levine's pike blade, stopping his attacks. The problem was, he was being pushed back towards the balcony.
+
-
+
-
"Dion, could you help me out?" Reiz was nervous. If he had knocked someone of Dion's size down with one kick like that, he didn't want to know what that boot would do to his own body, much less if it was followed by that giant pike.
+
-
+
-
Dion grabbed a chair and hurled it at Levine, slamming into his back. Reiz took his momentary lapse in concentration to knock the pike from his hands and out over the balcony. He moved back closer to Dion inside.
+
-
+
-
"I didn't need the pike, anyway. It was only slowing me down."
+
-
From his back, Levine drew a pair of menacing scimitars. Each blade had remarkable, jagged teeth running down to the hand guard.
+
-
+
-
Vicious, just like Levine, thought Dion.
+
-
+
-
"Umm...Dion...!"
+
-
+
-
Dion turned to see Hope backing away from the door. Silvin Kru members began to enter the room, weapons drawn.
+
-
+
-
"They don't look like friends, Dion..."
+
-
Dion thought quickly.
+
-
+
-
"Reiz, Levine's starting to slow down. Can you handle him alone while I push back our unwelcome guests?"
+
-

+
-
Reiz sighed and glared at Levine, who had since cracked a sadistic smile. "As long as I get to wipe that grin off his face, I'll be fine."
+
-
+
-
Dion lunged towards the door. Hope had backed away, but was hesitating to attack.
+
-
+
-
She's afraid...poor girl. What have I gotten her into?
+
-
+
-
Epicant struck one of the Silvin Kru members in the side, killing them instantly. The men kept pouring in, almost uncaring. Some even laughed.
+
-
+
-
"You can't win, Dion. It's over. Levine will kill Reiz, and you and Hope will be overwhelmed. Surrender, Dion."
+
-
+
-
Who is that...wait...no...
+
-
+
-
The man pushing through the crowd of warriors, the man who had just spoken, was Donny.
+
-
+
-
"Donny, you're still fighting with them!? You have to stop! Krois is strong, stronger than the Kru. You won't win. Besides, you are a good man! Why would you want to fight for an evil organization?"
+
-
+
-
Donny shook his head in dismay. "The Silvin Kru created who I am today. Because of them, I am strong enough to destroy even you, Dion. Because of them, people fear me. The respect me.
+
-
+
-
"Because of them, I will have whatever I want. And...today, that is Hope."
+
-
+
-
Hope froze. Dion backed towards her, arm outstretched in front of her.
+
-

+
-
"Donny...you bastard. You won't lay a finger on my wife."
+
-
+
-
Donny kept inching closer.
+
-
+
-
"Dion, you have to die today. It's the way it is. Did you know that I was the one that had everyone pull back that day we killed your family? Yes, you did a wonderful job of protecting your wife, but you know as well as I do that at the time, you could not have possibly handled a dozen senior members of the Kru. It was I who gave the order to stop, to leave Hope alive, and I didn't do it for you."
+
-

+
-
"Donny, don't you dare continue," uttered Dion nervously. He had a strong feeling that his friend meant business, and nothing he could do would change things.
+
-

+
-
Donny ignored Dion, and continued walking towards Hope.
+
-

+
-
"You are everything I've ever wanted in a woman, Hope. You're beautiful, innocent, graceful, kind...I must have you. I've trained these past few years so that I could make you mine, Hope."
+
-
+
-
"Goddammit, Donny! Think of what you are saying! You aren't like this, Donny, I know you aren't!" Hope was furious.
+
-

+
-
"I'm sorry, Hope, but for now I have to be. Once your husband is out of the way, however, I promise I'll be Donny again. For you."
+
-

+
-
Dion had had enough.
+
-
+
-
"Dontus, you scumbag!"
+
-
+
-
His fist crashed into Donny's face, sending him staggering backwards.
+
-
+
-
"Dion, you've had this coming for a long time. Ever since I threw that fight for you, you've gotten more popular with every passing day. People love you, they respect you more than they respect me, the man who essentially saved your life when you first entered the Kru. You were so weak, you would have never made it without me. I'm the only reason you're here, and I'll be the reason you die.
+
-

+
-
"Get them."
+
-

OOC: Upon finishing this, I find myself exceptionally proud of what I've created. I feel that this time I've trully broken past my usual somewhat robotic style and injected intense emotion into both my development and my combat. I hope you enjoy it, errors and all. ^_^ Oh, and, told you I'd get it done. XD

-
As a side note, I've included in this email the entire file of all the pieces for your convience. Just keep in mind that they are as yet unedited for grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Tell me what you think.

Reiz was gone. Levine was gone. A dozen Silvin Kru members were converging on Dion quickly.
+
-
+
-
"I won't let you touch her!"
+
-
+
-
Dion pushed Hope backwards and went into a spin, knocking the first group of foes backward. As he stabilized himself, Dion noticed a club heading towards his face. He dodged the oncoming blow and countered with one of his own, burying Epicant into the warrior's right hip. He cried out in pain as Dion yanked the blade from its new flesh sheath and brought it towards another enemy who met a similar fate.
+
-
+
-
"Not bad, Dion," laughed Donny, "But you still can't win."
+
-
+
-
The butt of a spear slammed Dion in the chest, knocking the wind out of him.
+
-
+
-
"See, Hope? Do you see how superior I am?"
+
-
+
-
Dion fought to regain his composure as Donny threw another strike at him. This time, Dion parried the blow and sliced Epicant upwards into Donny's spear, sending it flying backwards. Donny dove behind another Silvin Kru member as Dion attempted a killing blow. The sword instead sliced into the confused soldier, who slumped to the ground, dead.
+
-
+
-
"Superior, huh? Please. You need these men to beat me, Donny. Fight me alone.
+
-
Send them away. They aren't needed. If you really are 'superior', you'll send them away."
+
-
+
-
Donny seemed to ponder the idea for a moment.
+
-

+
-
"I don't think that's a very good idea, Dion. You see...I promised them the chance to, ahem, reap the spoils as well."
+
-
+
-
His bloodshot eyes seemed to drill holes in Hope's dress.
+
-

+
-
"You sick--"
+
-

+
-
A knife buried itself into Dion's side. I--lost concentration. Damn it all!
+
-

+
-
Dion stumbled back, clutching his wounded side. Donny had retrieved his spear, and moved forward to punish Dion further. He hit Dion in the face with flat of the spear's metal tip. He fell forcefully to the floor.
+
-

+
-
"Dion!!" shrieked Hope, who began to lash her whip about in a frenzy. Much to the surprise of the men closing in on her, the whip hurt. Badly.
+
-

+
-
Two men fell to her wrathful outburst. One man got close enough to grab her, but Hope remembered the dagger Dion had given her earlier. She drew it and sliced the man's chest open as she wrenched free of his grasp.
+
-
+
-
Dion was barely conscious now. Silvin Kru members beat him with everything they could find. The flats of swords, the butt of their spears, chairs, even their own fists.
+
-
+
-
The-the end...ho..pe..
+
-
+
-
The enemy had Hope now. Two men were carrying her off towards the exit. She screamed, writhing in their grasp, but could not free herself.
+
-

+
-
"Dion!! Dion!! Help me...!! Oh god...!!"
+
-
+
-
Donny crouched beside the battered body of Dion. "Your woman is being dragged off, your body is broken. Admit defeat, Dion. You are done for."
+
-
+
-
Dion spat blood in Donny's face, barely able to utter the word "bastard" before Donny gave him a backhand to the face.
+
-
+
-
"Show some respect, Dion! I'm an old friend, remember!?"
+
-
+
-
"None of you...none of you were friends...you all...you all used me..."
+
-
+
-
Dion could only whisper. His strength was fading fast. He could feel his life flame about to extinguish. Hope's shrieks filled his mind.
+
-
+
-
"Dion. I have something I want you to know before you die."
+
-
+
-
He didn't have a choice. He listened. It was all over anyway.
+
-
+
-
"I killed him. I killed your father. He didn't die of worry, or depression. I assassinated him. Owen, your mentor, tried to stop me, but to no avail. Eventually, I killed him too. I am Death, Dion. All this time I've helped you, it's only been because I've been waiting for this day. The day I would be able to defeat you in front of everyone. Do you remember your stepfather? Do you remember how his face was twisted in pain and agony? I choked him to death with my own hands. These two hands that will take your wife within the hour."
+
-

+
-
"Dion!! Please!! Get up!!" shrieked Hope.
+
-

+
-
Donny...he's killed...everyone? He's an assassin, he's been using me, he's killed all that's dear to me, he's taking my wife away, he's--
+
-
+
-
"GRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
+
-
+
-
Donny stumbled backwards.
+
-
+
-
"Wh-what the hell!?"
+
-
+
-
Dion's eyes burnt brightly. His strength, his emotion, it surged within him.
+
-
+
-
"I-I wi-will KILL you! I will KILL you ALL!"
+
-
+
-
Dion jumped to his feet. Everything inside him burnt.
+
-

+
-
He had ascended. Everything he had ever regretted, everything he had ever wished revenge upon was embodied in this battle. Sirat form was the only answer.
+
-

+
-
With his bare hands, Dion slammed a Silvin Kru member's face into the stone wall, grinding his ripped flesh into the stones. He tossed him into the crowd of terrified onlookers. They had dropped Hope now, some of them ducking out the door.
+
-
+
-
Dion picked up Epicant and turned towards Donny.
+
-

+
-
"YOU..."
+
-
+
-
The last thing Donny ever saw was the edge of Epicant as it ripped across his eyes, blinding him. He screamed in agony as he sank back into a wall, blood spraying from the spot where his eyes had once rested.
+
-

+
-
Dion's next move was to dive right into the fray, chopping up the Silvin Kru members as they fled from the room. He followed them into the hall, until at last, he slumped back down to his knees exhausted.
+
-

Hope crawled over to him, and rested her hand on his shoulder. He twisted quickly, grabbing her as if she were a foe, but when his eyes met hers...

Dion collapsed in Hope's arms. He was tired, and he didn't want to move. They were gone, and all he wanted now was to be with her.

Hope attempted to heal him, but she could do little. Dion's Sirat form expired, so the strength that had powered him moments ago was completely gone. Her auraword rang out, slowly closing his wounds.

Session Start (Break Miyama:shirei13): Tue Dec 30 21:52:34 2008 [21:52] Break Miyama: Hello! [21:53] shirei13: HELLO! [21:54] Break Miyama: How are you? [21:55] shirei13: Typing eehehheh [21:55] Break Miyama: Good, good. [21:55] Break Miyama: Now that we've got that out of the way, we do need to talk. [21:56] shirei13: Oh? [21:56] Break Miyama: Firstly, my attendance tomorrow is hinging on Edwin being able to make it, as he provides the transportation. [21:57] Break Miyama: However, it seems like he won't. [21:57] Break Miyama: If A, B. ~A. Therefore, ~B. [21:57] shirei13: Ah, I see. [21:58] Break Miyama: So yeah, unless something else gets arranged, I probably won't be there. [21:58] Break Miyama: The second point is a bit more....personal. [21:59] Break Miyama: It was regarding comments on what I get out of video games. [22:00] Break Miyama: The insistence that I only like winning when I explained otherwise was not something I appreciated. [22:00] Break Miyama: I am not that one-dimensional. [22:01] shirei13: I'd beg to differ, but go ahead. [22:01] Break Miyama: See, it's these sorts of things that frustrate me. [22:01] Break Miyama: You offer great competition. I try to tell you that, because it's the truth. [22:02] Break Miyama: Having that rebuffed, -then- being told what I actually feel? That's frustrating, and I might go as far as to say that it's out of line. [22:03] Break Miyama: I explained myself, and I don't want to have words put in my mouth after the fact. [22:04] Break Miyama: I'm not sure where you're getting this idea that I'm a completely open book and am always a loud-mouthed goofball who takes competition a mite too seriously, but that is only a part, not the whole. [22:04] Break Miyama: I'm trying to change what's merely a single perception that isn't completely representative of who I am. [22:05] Break Miyama: I'm trying to correct what I believe to be a hasty conclusion. [22:06] Break Miyama: What you see, even if it's for four years, is not what you get. [22:07] Break Miyama: We tend to meet under the same conditions - with a lot of friends, with games about, under an incredibly casual atmosphere, and the like. [22:07] Break Miyama: This doesn't leave a bunch of room for variance. [22:07] Break Miyama: You aren't seeing me frustrated, or mad, or sad, or nervous, or other things to that effect. [22:08] Break Miyama: Am I making sense? [22:09] shirei13: In all honesty? No. [22:09] Break Miyama: THen I'll try to summarize. [22:11] Break Miyama: Being told what I enjoyed about (whatever-it-is) after explaining my thoughts on the matter isn't something I enjoy. [22:11] Break Miyama: It's telling me that you know me better than I know myself. [22:11] Break Miyama: And the times you see me are not a representative sample of how I am. [22:14] Break Miyama: That's the gist of it. [22:16] shirei13: Are you done now? [22:16] Break Miyama: For the most part. [22:16] Break Miyama: Can I at least have a proper response. [22:16] Break Miyama: ? [22:17] shirei13: I'm not sure. I'll try, though. [22:21] shirei13: Quite simply, that's not the issue here. Yes, I'll have you believe what you wish; if you say that the true pleasure you derive from games stems from the challenge and not always winning, then so be it. However, you yourself once said that playing to win and playing to have fun are not mutually exclusive. Keep that in mind; it appears to dominate your thoughts whenever I play with you. [22:22] shirei13: I never put words in your mouth; you already spoke them. [22:22] Break Miyama: Right, appears. [22:26] shirei13: "Appears"? I'm attempting to be sarcastic here. I have never seen evidence to the contrary. In every game, for every round, for every time we've ever met, socially or privately, you have never, even once, considered any sort of idea to the contrary. There is no "taking it easy" for you. Everytime I try to sit back and enjoy and enjoy one of the very FEW means of relaxation I have, you ignore my request for a non-serious match and go straight for the throat. [22:27] Break Miyama: There is a bit of a problem with that, though. [22:27] Break Miyama: Not in the sense that you want relaxation, as that's perfectly acceptable. [22:28] Break Miyama: But in that "a relaxing match" isn't clear. There's no clear expectation of what you want me to do. [22:28] Break Miyama: How easy is too easy? [22:28] Break Miyama: What specifically's right-out in a "relaxing" match? [22:28] Break Miyama: I'd be happy to give you a more relaxing match if I knew what constitutes relaxing for you. [22:29] Break Miyama: The benchmark is very fuzzy, so I don't exactly have something to aim for. [22:34] shirei13: Ah. I see you really are that one dimensional. You're always so literal and rigid. You go straight for the win. That's all. The only goal you want to hear of in the games you play is to be appopriately challenged and to win. Hence, your obviously ruthless tactics in every match, even when your opponent just wants to ignore who wins and who loses in favor of simply playing the game. That's not something that canbe quantified. All I ask is that you don't always play like winning and challenge is everything. [22:34] shirei13: Got it memorized? [22:35] Break Miyama: It's not rigid to ask where the target is when I'm supposed to be shooting at it. [22:35] Break Miyama: You want a relaxing match. I get that. [22:35] Break Miyama: The problem is what's relaxing for -you-. [22:37] Break Miyama: "Don't always play like winning and challenge is everything" is something I can only shrug my shoulders at, and probably pick someone out of left field like Voldo or Yun-Seong in the hopes of getting close. [22:37] Break Miyama: I don't read minds. [22:38] Break Miyama: Nor can I work with really vague conditions. It helps to know what actually -is- off-limits so that I won't -do- it. [22:39] Break Miyama: It's not being bone-headedly literal; the statement can be taken so many ways, with some ways putting me at risk of escalating the issue. [22:40] Break Miyama: The clarity's being asked for for a reason. [22:44] shirei13: No, no, keep going. You're only proving my point. The statements made in my last reply are not exactly difficult to understand, save by someone who refuses to. They have no meaning to you, mostly because you deny them any. You do not take competition too seriously. It is never too serious for you. I have no idea where you got the idea, but very well. Hold to it if you must. Now, if we can drop this, you brought up, earlier, the real issue at hand. [22:45] Break Miyama: Then get to it, if you will. [22:49] shirei13: We do tend to meet under the same conditions. We rarely do otherwise. That's where the real problem is. The real problem is your behavior when we are around so many people, with such loud music and so many games. No, I do not see your other sides. You do not care to show them to me, though I have seen you mad, frustrated, and sad at the same time. At least in this regard, my conclusion was not hasty, even if has been a mere 4-going-on-5 years. [22:49] Break Miyama: Okay, then. [22:53] shirei13: The real problem here is that you feel it a better use of these situations to play games (which you are already better at) with me than to allow an actual party to happen. You feel it a better use of your time to play with me at the expense of other people's time. And quite frankly, you are not the only reason I organize these things. I hadn't seen anyone else there in nearly four months, but you wanted to play SCIV, so it looks like Ryan had to miss out on a much needed chance to see and talk with me. Do you understand? [22:54] Break Miyama: Okay, then. [22:54] Break Miyama: Are those all of the concerns? [22:54] shirei13: No, there's one more. [22:54] Break Miyama: Then do go on. [22:55] shirei13: You were a quick read. [22:55] Break Miyama: Okay, then. [22:55] Break Miyama: That'll be all, then. Session Close (shirei13): Tue Dec 30 22:56:28 2008
