Lann the Clever, a legendary trickster, lives during the Age of Heroes.
The Grey King rules the Iron Islands. He is said to also rule the sea itself and taken a mermaid to wife.
Garth Greenhand is gardener king of the First Men. He wears a crown of vines and flowers and made the land bloom.
The ironmen plunders as far as the Port of Ibben and the Summer Isles. Each of the Iron Islands has its own "salt king" and "rock king". The High King of the Isles is chosen among them.
The King in the North of House Stark rules northern Westeros from Winterfell.
Urron makes the throne of the Iron Islands hereditary by murdering the other kings when they assembles for a choosing.
Andal adventurers carves out a mighty kingdom in the western hills and valleys of Westeros.
On the Iron Islands King Urron's line is extinguished when the Andals sweep over the islands.
Nymeria, warrior queen of the Rhoyne, lands in Dorne with ten thousand ships and marries Mors Martell, Lord of Sunspear. With her help Mors vanquises his rivals to rule as Prince of Dorne.
The Iron Kings extends their rule far beyond the isles themselves, carving out kingdoms on the mainland. King Qhored cans with some justice claim to rule "wherever men can smell salt water or hear the crash of waves". In later centuries Qhored's descendents lose the Arbor, Oldtown, Bear Island, and much of the western shore.
The last of the River Kings is slain by the Storm Kings who conquer all the way to the Neck.
Harwyn Hardhand, King of the Isles, takes the Trident from Arrec the Storm King.
The Wars of Conquest are fought by Aegon the Conquerer to unite the Seven Kingdoms.
Orys Baratheon, rumored to be Aegon's bastard brother, defeats Argilac the Arrogant, tbe last Storm King. As reward Aegon grants him Argilac's castle, lands and daughter.
The last King in the North, Torrhen Stark, the King Who Knelt, chooses to swear fealty to Aegon the Dragon rather than do battle. He therefore keeps his land and continued to rule as Lord of Winterfell.
Edmyn Tully, Lord of Riverrun and many other river lords deserts Harren the Black, King of the Isles, and joins Aegon.
Harren and his line perishes in the burning of Harrenhal. Aegon rewards Edmyn Tully with the dominion of the riverlands. He allows the surviving iron lords to chose who should have the primacy among them. They choose Vickon Greyjoy, Lord of Pyke.
Mern, last King of the Reach, perishes at the Field of Fire. His steward, Harlen Tyrell, surrenders Highgarden to Aegon. Aegon grants Harlen Highgarden and dominion of the Reach.
Dorne is united with the rest of the Seven Kingdoms when King Daeron II marries Princess Myriah Martell and gives his own sister to the reigning Prince of Dorne.
