Harren the Black was King of the Isles. He was the grandson of Harwyn Hardhand. On the mainland he ruled the land between the Neck and the Blackwater Rush.
Harren the Black was a vain and bloody tyrant. During the Wars of Conquest many of the river lords deserted him. Harren and his line perished in the burning of Harrenhal.
