House Baratheon is the youngest of the Great Houses. It was founded by Orys Baratheon, rumored to be the bastard brother of Aegon the Dragon, during the Wars of Conquest. Orys rose through the ranks and became one of Ageon's fiercest commanders. After defeating and slaying Argilac the Arrogant, last of the Storm Kings, he was rewarded with Argilac's castle Storm's End, lands and daughter. Orys adopted the banners, honors and words of her line. (GoT, App)
Currently the head of the house is Robert I, King of the Seven Kingdoms. His younger brothers Stannis and Renly hold Dragonstone and Storm's End.
