Zeevrouw of Ex Miscellania began life as Luk Van der Meer in the town of Groningen.  His parents, alarmed by his supernatural aura, gave him up at an early age to a passing stranger.  The stranger was very insistent that Luk should be protected and taught by him, and Luk's parents made no arguement.  Thus Luk grew up in the covenant of Fengheld under the demanding tutelage of Xeren of Tremere.  As he grew, Luk became increasingly resentful of his parens.  He had little memory of his natural parents and longed for the power needed to defeat Xeren and escape his tortuos ministrations.

Zeevrouw the Pirate King is a nearly six foot tall, light brown-haired, blue-eyed man who appears to be in his early forties. He wears an eye patch for decoration, but has full use of both eyes. He is normally dressed as a wealthy pirate, but wears a golden crown and rings on all ten fingers. He is extremely vain and greedy, hoarding gold, jewels and other shiny things in his Sanctum. He is fond of animals who have never shunned him as people often do. He is almost always accompanied by his common law wife Caela and allows only her to call him by the familiar "Zee".
