::::: Lab texts are 1 build point per 5 levels of spells, casting tablets are 2 build points per 5 levels of spells. * I came up with a list of spells and summae that total 400 altogether, though it's more on summae and less on lab texts. I flipped through the book and picked out the spells that looked like they'd be most likely given to a new covenant of 40-somethings magi from a bunch of domus magnae. Then spent the rest on books. Let me know if this works for everyone or if they'd like to see any changes? + | :: This is awesome, but the Parma Magica text would actually cost 25 points, not 15, because Ability summae have Level multiplied by 3. The Perdo summa is nearly useless to Lacrimadia, but maybe it's not for her? Could it be a little lower level and include a tractatus for her benefit? We could probably make up some of the missing points by not taking Seven League Stride, which I think we're unlikely to need (islands and fjords make it difficult to use). --ED

+ | ::: I counted the Parma text at 25, I think I just forgot one of the lab texts :/ It was supposed to have been at 340 / 60, but I screwed that up a little. Fixin'. Also, I picked the Perdo at 15 because I figured Lacrimadia's Perdo would be high enough as to not be able to improve from a summa (like, over 20). Personally, I think tractati are a waste of build points because a summa has the potential to produce as many tractati as there are magi in the covenant, so they're just way better. But if my opinion is an unpopular one I can swap around points some more. --[[User:Admin|Sally]] 06:02, 4 July 2007 (EDT)

- Dave-- Gimme a really good Herbam summa (should be at least level 20 and minimum quality of 12), and I'd also like books on Rego, Auram, and Mentem. Whenever we solidify our purchases, I'd be happy to come up with titles, descriptions, and author names for all the summae. --Sally
- We have 300 points to spend. Tom picked a L20 Q11 Imaginem book. Uh, I can't think of anything particular for Lacrimadia, though since Durenmar gave us most of them, they probably kept her in mind. Perhaps a couple of Perdo tractati? Also, there should be an Aegis of the Hearth Lab Text at Level 30. --ED
- I thought you said 400 on Saturday? Dave says he thinks you said either 400 or 450. I think it was 400 though. --Sally
- ED: We have 300 points for the library, and 100 points for lab texts (spells). So 400 points total from Durenmar. Also 125 points of enchanted items from Irencillia, along with the 240 points of laboratory equipment, though if you'd rather have books than items we can manipulate those numbers a bit.
- Aah, that's where the 400 was coming from. 100 points seems like an awful lot for lab texts. How much do the casting tablets cost? --Sally 02:45, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
