He's more savvy than he is book-smart (I'm not even sure if he can know how to read yet).  He has a definitive odor about him that takes some getting used to, though Eirlys likes his smell.  When he gets excited, however, he will "poof" which creates a putrid scent that nauseates even his best friend.  He's quite observant, especially when it comes to people, and he finds humans fascinating.
