Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do the dormitories work? The way the dormitories work is simple. There are four boys or four girls to a suite. There will be two students to each room joined together by a common room. Each set of four will share one kitchenette and bathroom and will be responsible for keeping it as clean as possible. There will be a dividing wall in the separate dorm rooms to separate each student.
2. So what's the deal? Are you guys AU or Quasi-AU? Arcadia will be considered a Quasi-AU game. This means that your character must follow canon events from the games their coming from. After they arrive at Arcadia that's where things get AU.
3. How much detail is too much detail in an application? There's no chance in hell that you can never give too much detail. Unless you're going into which hand they masturbate with then that's just total TMFI. Please be as detailed as you see fit and include every single detail possible.
4. Where are the rules for this game? The rules for Arcadia are located here.
5. Where's the application for the game kept? Thank you for your interest in the game first of all. Our application is located here.
6. How do I reserve a character? Easy peasy let me tell you! ^^ Email the mods at arcadiamods [at] gmail [dot] com with the subject of your email being "Character Reservation - [Character Name]" or something to that effect. Any characters put on the reserved list will be held for only one week.
7. To OC or not to OC, that is the question. NO. We are not accepting OC's from Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy VII: Before Crisis or just OC's in general. No. Just, no.
8. How many characters can a player have? The standard limit for newcomers is three. However, if you're very active, like some of us around here, the limit is six. If you are applying for the three character limit and you are not active, we will not accept your application, due to lack of activity.
9. What is the activity rule here? Under no circumstances do we expect you to post weekly, or daily. We strive this RP to be off of accommodating working players and players going to school. However, this doesn't exempt you from not posting in journals. If you don't post in three weeks without a hiatus warning, you're dropped. Hiatuses can extend to a month, depending on circumstances. We don't tolerate people taking hiatuses just to escape activity checks.
10. Are smut/lemon/yaoi logs accepted? We won't limit you from them, no, but if there are certain people who log solely for anything smut-wise, they are disregarding the rules, and will be dealt with (read: banned). WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMETHING ELSE BESIDES YAOI AND SMUT, PLEASE. Rp does NOT have to revolve around either. We have no patience for any of that.
11. If a player has an issue with a player or anything, what can a player do? If you have any problems, you are welcome to contact any of the three of us. There should be no drama or tension in a RP. If you feel uncomfortable or have an issue, by all means, e-mail us or grab one of us on AIM and we'll do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable.
12. Do characters have to attend school or go to Candor University? The answer is no. This is also a city-based game as well as a school game. This can't be stressed enough; not everyone would like to go to school and the game cannot always revolve around school. So if you don't wish to have your kid tied to education? By all means, you can have them live in the city.
