Widely known for his skills as a swordsman, Borus's reputation among the Zexen Knights is legendary and has earned him the title of the "Swordsman of Rage". Borus was born into a wealthy family and was spoiled as a child, creating a sense of naiveté and self-importance within his mind.

Borus came from a wealthy family and was raised with having everything he wanted; this led to Borus growing up as a naïve and spoiled child. He is deeply involved in the Zexen military. He also enjoys drinking like his comrades Leo Galan and Percival. In fact, Kidd, the Budehuc Castle detective, revealed that Borus collects rare wines and keeps them in his wine cellar at home.

After the death of Captain Galahad and Vice-Captain Pelize during the clash with the Lizard and Karaya Clans, Borus remained loyal to the Zexen flag and followed Chris Lightfellow as acting captain of the Zexen Knights, and eventually, took the role. It was hinted that Borus feels deeply for his captain like every knight under her care.

During the peace treaty, the Grasslanders attacked the Zexen Knights having thought that the Silver Maiden killed the Lizard Clan Chief, Zepon. Borus was angered by the ambush; Salome Harras calmed him by suggesting they raid the Karayan Village to escape the ambush. He, Roland Lazarus and Chris Lightfellow followed the suggestion. However, upon entering the village, the sorceress, Sarah, cast a spell on Borus, blinding him with rage. He not only burned the village to the ground, but also killed innocent villagers, women and children included. He was later woken from the spell after battling Geddoe.

Borus was severely disgusted by his actions; heavy hearted, he confessed to Percival what he had done in the village. His companion assured him that he would have done the same if he were in the same position. Borus replied that a person who committed acts such as those was not a man but an animal.

Borus decided to atone for his sins by joining the Fire Bringer and fought alongside with the Zexens, the Grassslanders, and reinforcements from Tinto, Budehuc Castle and the Free Knights of Camaro. He was tormented by his sins until the war ended. Borus had some difficulty in adjusting to his life at Budehuc Castle, criticising the young Flame Champion Hugo for seeming to mix with rough people, and noting that a leader needed dignity. He encouraged him to look towards Chris Lightfellow for a model to follow in this area. He also encouraged Hugo to see Chrs' acting in a play, praising her abilities and saying that her skills showed that there was no wonder why she was the leader of the Zexen Knights; an unpopular opinion given statements given by Chris herself that said she was no actor. He was also impressed by the castle guard's skills, noting that they were good at real fighting and that he would like to have a match with them.

Borus also contacted Chris often, asking that, if his family should ask about him, that she should tell them that he was doing alright. He also encouraged her not to beat herself up for the tragedy of Yun's death, and that it was a true pity that it had happened. He even invited Chris to sample some of his great wine, noting that everyone would love to see her.

Borus was actively involved in the Tinto-Zexen border clash together with Leo in 478, three years after the defeat of the Destroyers.
