-	Rika was born to a family of Americans living in Japan, so while she herself was Japanese, her parents were English-speaking Otaku.  At a young age, perhaps around when she was nine or ten, her parents left her one night to wait in the park and never came back. For the next year, Rika struggled to live on her own and not get taken to an orphanage, hoping her parents would eventually come back for her.	+	Rika was brought to Earth around the time that Kisshu and the other aliens.  However, she had a sudden and cliche case of amnesia, so completely forgot what she was supposed to be doing on Earth, which was helping support the invasion.
-	She eventually moved in with a kind older woman by the name of Tanaku, with whom she lived until she turned fourteen.  At this time Tanaku was moved to a nursing home and Rika slipped away so as to not cause the older woman anymore trouble.	+	Instead, Rika adopted the alias "Rika Tan", coming up with her own last night, and started living alone at the age of 9. She got a cafe job and ended up moving into the spare room on the top floor where she still lives.  When Frosting received her animal DNA and became a mew, Rika woke as a knight.  Aware of her other form she began training and looking out for the mew she was meant to protect.
