Ramson Covington is Rue's older brother, and about as different from Rue as a person can get and still be related. He's an outgoing, ambitious young man with an adventurous heart and a sharpshooter's eye, and the planning skills to get him everything he wants in life. He's also (sometimes unintentionally) manipulative and chauvinistic, so watch out for that.
As heir to the Covington Tea Company, Ramson's developed an acute awareness of the power and nuance of money and is most in his element when conducting tricky business arrangements. His specialty is in establishing good relationships with people who could be financially useful to him later. It helps that he's one of those people that others can't help but like.
Once he officially enters the story, he'll usually be found on the Lylie, a Company ship, with which he intends to hunt pirates in his spare time. It should be noted that he is not the captain.
