Nearly a year ago, in an online interview for El Mundo, Tori indicated that, after focusing on The Light Princess in 2013 and releasing a new record, she would probably tour again in 2014. During meet and greets prior to some of The Light Princess performances, she echoed the same plans, talking about a new record and a tour in 2014 as well. Of course, nothing has been officially announced this early but, as often happens, some possible dates and locations have surfaced via other means… First, Rome’s Auditorium Parco della Musica sent out a press release about their upcoming 2013-2014 musical season which included Tori in list of performers. No date was given and nothing has been added to their event calendar yet but, as @GianniSpigno reported on Twitter, the newspaper Corriere said that Tori would be performing at the Auditorium on June 2nd as part of their on-going La Voce series … DocSnyder also points out a “ghost” listing in Eventim’s iOS app which has a listing for dates from May 19th through June 10th. The listing, which is cryptically titled “Tori Amos: The Unrepenta…” (it doesn’t fit), has no further information but the Eventim website calls it The Unrepentant Geraldines Tour as does the German concert site Kartine.de. No dates are listed though … DocSnyder spied five German dates on BonnTicket: May 19th in Frankfurt, May 20th in Berlin, May 29th in Hamburg, June 9th in Stuttgart, and June 10th in Munich. Note that BonnTicket indicates that tickets for all but Stuttgart will be available at 9:00 AM Monday, November 25th. We’re not sure if BonnTicket is a reseller or an outlet so we’ll have to see how that plays out.

If memory serves, this is the way we found out about Tori‘s last tour when she was readying the release of her greatest hits-like album Gold Dust. Ticket sale dates and cryptic tour dates started to surface online and then, eventually, those ticket sales and dates were confirmed officially. If the tour is to be called The Unrepentant Geraldines Tour, it stands to reason that her album might be titled Unrepentant Geraldines. HMMM. I was actually hoping that Tori would be ready to release a new album and launch a new tour once The Light Princess opened but, honestly, I feared that we might have to wait until 2015 for that to happen. I was unable to see Tori on her most recent tour last year in support of her album Gold Dust (because her US dates in NYC and LA never came to be and she only toured in Europe) so I’m really anxious to see her live again. These have included the seasonal collection Midwinter Graces, the classically influenced Night of Hunters, and Gold Dust, a collection of orchestral reworkings of songs from across her career. Things are getting so hawt on Revenge that . It’s funny, last night’s episode didn’t reel me in right away but by the end of it I had that familiar feeling of distrust towards every single character! Everybody’s lying! Everybody’s making out with everyone! And friggen Aiden is driving me cray with all of his little tricks. So this episode was all about ‘Emily‘ trying to remain in control of her revengenda, which is going awry on a few different levels. She’s been very confident about her relationship with Daniel, and keeping their engagement in tact, but things started to unravel in that department. Victoria (as usual) is watching her like a hawk and has big plans to use ‘Emily‘s feelings towards Jack as a way of turning Daniel against ‘Em.’ But ‘Emily‘ had additional drama, having brought Aiden along for the ride. This guy, I swear. He is such a live wire and the truth is, he can’t really be controlled! How ‘Emily‘ is gonna get anything accomplished, I really don’t know. Oh, and then you’ve got Nolan making out with friggen Patrick‘s sexy ass so yeah. Methinks we’re looking at a season full of drama, so let’s get to it!

Season 3, Episode 5: Control

1. WTF Is Aiden Up To?!
Yo, I could not keep up with Aiden‘s shenanigans in this episode. Lying to Conrad and pointing him in Jack‘s direction? Teaming up with Victoria? Trying to scare Jack away because he’s totally jealous and cray over ‘Emily‘? I can’t deal, lol. And I honestly felt bad for poor Jack when Aiden showed up and told him to leave town. Jack had to go dump baby Carl off somewhere safe, but the whole thing was really Aiden‘s fault because he lied to Conrad about Jack trying to kill him. We have this ongoing debate about Aiden‘s intentions, but I’m starting to think he really just wants to do anything to get ‘Emily‘ away from the Hamptons. It’s really sweet, but he kinda has to sabotage her plans to get what he wants, and ‘Em‘ isn’t having it.

2. Okay, I’m Really Into Margaux Now
When we first met Margaux I thought she was just coming to bring the drama. And she was, for sure. But in this episode her magazine venture with Daniel finally launched and we kinda got to see another side to her. That whole storyline with her dad not showing up got me interested in her more as a character so I’m hoping we see more of her. Also, now that she’s seeing Jack, we get to see a whole lot more of this:

3. Are Patrick And Nolan A Thing?

Okay, so I gotta hear everyone’s thoughts on this one. At first I thought Nolan was getting close to Patrick so they could find out his real reasons for being in the Hamptons. In last week’s episode Nolan went and hunted down Patrick‘s ex-wife to get some dirt on him, but it also seems like these two are legit into each other, right? They totally made out last week, then again this week (even though Patrick called him out on the whole thing with his ex-wife), and I noticed Nolan is leaving all of this out of his convos with ‘Emily.’ Sounds like drama to me!

4. Oh, And Patrick’s A Killer… If We Believe Aiden

So by the end of the episode we found out who rigged Conrad‘s car and ended up killing Father Paul. It was Charlotte. Except not. Charlotte lied to get Conrad off of Jack‘s back, but was persuaded to do so by Victoria who was trying to protect Patrick. According to Aiden, Patrick is the one who tried to kill Conrad, but since I don’t know WTF Aiden is up to, I don’t what to believe! LMAO… what do you guys think? Patrick has been coming off so chill, it’s hard to believe he’s got it in him to kill… but he is Victoria’s child.

5. Emily And Daniel DUNZO… Wait No, Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81 Shoes They’re Back On. Or Whatever.

OMG, ‘Emily‘ has been making out with everyone this season, I don’t know where her heart is. First there was that amazingly awkward kiss with Jack at the beginning of the season, but she’s playing fiancé to Daniel, then she’s all up on Aiden in this episode. I was, however, kind of glad when Daniel finally broke it off with ‘Emily‘– it would have been too unrealistic if he just continued to ignore the fact that she’s clearly off doing other ish and not entirely trustworthy. But by the end of the episode they had a ‘moment’ when ‘Emily‘ finally shared a picture of her parents (which, obviously, wasn’t a real picture of her parents) and ‘Em‘ kinda broke down. But it was weird– even though the moment was inauthentic, ‘Emily‘ did seem to be letting him in. It’s hard to tell if she’s completely playing him or not, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

At last … it’s out … , our dear Britney Spears has finally unveiled the music video for her current single Perfume and as you can see above, she wasn’t kidding when she said she had to use her acting chops to deliver this performance. Director Joseph Kahn had created many great music videos in Britney‘s career and this one for Perfume is no exception. I’m really taken with how much emotion we get in this clip. IMHO, Britney does a really great job of showing believable vulnerability in this video. Watch the video above and then share your thoughts below. It seems evident that the original Director’s Cut of the video features Britney + a gun + her cheating love interest + his mistress. 1. So Here’s The Thing About Olivia’s Mom Chewing Through Her Wrists

Sweet baby Jesus, I want so badly to get this image out of my head but now it’s here forever. In fact, wait. No. It’s not the image. It’s that sound. Do you remember that sound? The sound of Mama Pope lit’rally chewing through the flesh of her wrists because that’s how much she didn’t want to get transferred to another creepy, dark prison in the middle of nowhere? That sound will haunt my dreams in this and the next lifetime, soooo thanks for that Khandi Alexander.

Now, creepy, Hannibal Lecter-esque moment aside, I like Olivia‘s mom! I love how she came at Papa Pope about the pictures of Olivia– or lack thereof! Where are the damn pictures? How do you really just have newspaper clippings of your daughter, and no damn photos?! Shame on you Papa Pope!

But now that Olivia‘s mom has escaped (and shouts out to PITNBr Aisis for calling that one) I’m just plain scurred. Like, sometimes it’s cool to reconnect with your estranged mom… but if that chick is cray… Well, let’s just say the mom in your head is often > the mom in reality, LOL. Damn, damn, damn! Looks like its a wrap for Congresswoman Marcus. Her little sister/daughter (or “sister-daughter,” as Abby dubbed her) got all out of pocket and tried to frame Reston for breaking into their campaign headquarters. I’m bummed ’cause I liked Lisa Kudrow‘s character but it looks like her guest stay is over. She took the wrap for her sister/daughter and dropped out of the race.

OMGawd, FINALLLLLYYYYY! Vermont is for lovers too, bitch! So, after getting all dramatic and destroying her Presidential phone, Liv still ended up going to see the President. Little did she know she was meeting him in the home he had built for them back when he still thought he was going to leave Mellie, give up the presidency, and turn Liv into his homemade jam-making, barefoot and pregnant wife. LMAO! Oh man… that house was so dope. (And I’m a big fan of being barefoot and pregnant… and I’ll totally learn how to make jam… so Fitz needs to come holla at a chick… YesPlease, MoreThankYou. Wait. What? I digress…)

This moment was a big deal because 1.) Olitz finally got it on and poppin’, 2.) they actually talked about Liv‘s father and realized that they’re both pretty much on the same page in terms of finding out WTF was going on with that plane crash and Olivia‘s mom, and 3.) Liv asked him not to sell the house. Ummmm what???/Here we go again with these two. Also, did any of you get the sense that Liv kinda, sorta gave Fitz permission to kill her Dad? “Do what you have to do”??? Please, don’t tell Fitz that… lest we forget he killed somebody once (RIP Verna)!

4. Ohhh Cyrus, You Done Effed Up Now

OMJEEEEEeeeeeesus take the wheel! Cyrus and Mellie are always teaming up making these sketchy little moves, but they went too damn far on this one. Really though? James as sexy, man-bait for Mr. Sally Langston? Boy, oh boy. The LOOK on James‘s face when he put everything together and realized that– once again– Cyrus was just using him for another political play?! He was sooo ready to give it up to the VP’s husband at that point. And I couldn’t help but be a little thrilled at the LOOK on Cyrus‘s face when he got those damn pictures. Dude! You effed up! That’s what you get! James is about to go take a shower! Don’t wait up, batch!!!! AGHhhhh! Awful. I love it.

5. Huckleberry Quinn Takes A Dark, Dark Turn

I thought was the greatest Scandal episode ever and I was right. BUT. This episode plays a close second. Sources tell me the couple has split after three years of marriage.

A rep for Bloom exclusively confirms the breakup. “In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months,” the rep said in a statement. “After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation.”

The statement continued, “Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family.”

The 36-year-old British actor and the 30-year-old Australian Victoria’s Secret model began dating in 2007. They were married in July 2010 after announcing their engagment just a month beforehand.

Kerr gave birth to their son, Flynn, on Jan. 6, 2011.

It really sucks to hear this news, and I’m sure this is a difficult time for Miranda and Orlando. Still, they always strike me as a very private couple and I feel like they’ll be able to get through this amicably.

Miranda, who practices Buddhism, is always promoting a very positive outlook on life and I’m sure she’ll be fine in the end. Still, I’m sending lots of positive thoughts her way. Charlotte lied to get Conrad off of Jack‘s back, but was persuaded to do so by Victoria who was trying to protect Patrick. According to Aiden, Patrick is the one who tried to kill Conrad, but since I don’t know WTF Aiden is up to, I don’t what to believe! LMAO… what do you guys think? Patrick has been coming off so chill, it’s hard to believe he’s got it in him to kill… but he is Victoria’s child.

5. Emily And Daniel DUNZO… Wait No, They’re Back On. Or Whatever.

OMG, ‘Emily‘ has been making out with everyone this season, I don’t know where her heart is. First there was that amazingly awkward kiss with Jack at the beginning of the season, but she’s playing fiancé to Daniel, then she’s all up on Aiden in this episode. I was, however, kind of glad when Daniel finally broke it off with ‘Emily‘– it would have been too unrealistic if he just continued to ignore the fact that she’s clearly off doing other ish and not entirely trustworthy. But by the end of the episode they had a ‘moment’ when ‘Emily‘ finally shared a picture of her parents (which, obviously, wasn’t a real picture of her parents) and ‘Em‘ kinda broke down. But it was weird– even though the moment was inauthentic, ‘Emily‘ did seem to be letting him in. It’s hard to tell if she’s completely playing him or not, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Dear lord, my first PITNB Scandal recap and ish went doooown. Shannon convinced me to watch Scandal and I’ve spent the last month watching S1 and S2, then feverishly catching up with S3 before this week’s recap. SO GLAD I DID.

While I think some actors on that show overact (ahem Huck, Olivia and sometimes Cyrus) I think Mellie is always perfection. She is the ironclad First Lady one scene then desperate and fragile the next. This week’s ep was no exception.

The rape was shocking, awful, and difficult to watch. When she couldn’t shower after? Ugh, my heart broke for her. I think it was great writing on Shonda’s part. I don’t think she’s making Mellie weak or “tore her down.” Rather, I think she made Mellie a much stronger and likable character. She’s so frigid in present day, it’s nice to understand why. We always heard about how much she sacrificed, but she REALLY sacrificed. I understand Mellie, Fitz and even Big Jerry so much better…

As a writer I’m not supposed to say this, but I’m really having trouble finding the right words for this post. I’ll just say that we gave my new baby Josev the middle name ‘Grayson’ because I lost my Aunt Grace last year. Among many awesome things my aunt (who was also my mother’s twin) was an activist and she spent a good deal of time in South Africa during the early 90s working with the ANC (African National Congress) to get Nelson Mandela elected to the South African presidency. Both of my parents taught African history and African American history and they took me to South Africa when I was 10, so they could conduct research for future projects. All of that to say, since I was a child Nelson Mandela was always much more than an icon. He was, maybe, just short of being a deity. So I feel the loss, and I feel at a loss for words in light of his passing.

South Africa’s first black president and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela has died, South Africa’s president says.

Mr Mandela, 95, led South Africa’s transition from white-minority rule in the 1990s, after 27 years in prison.

He had been receiving intense home-based medical care for a lung infection after three months in hospital.

In a statement on South African national TV, Mr Zuma said Mr Mandela had “departed” and was at peace.

I can’t remember when it was, but Nelson Mandela came to the States once and I got to see him speak somewhere. It was such a big deal, to say the least, and I have so many memories of my mother and aunt teaching me about apartheid and its lasting effects in South Africa. I got to see many of those effects when I was there and I’m glad I’ve had people around me to impress upon me the importance of Mandela and his work.

Very sad news to pass along today. in a car accident after attending a charity event in Santa Clarita, CA earlier today. I was flying home to LA from Detroit when news of Paul‘s death was first reported. While there was some initial confusion as to whether the report of his death was a hoax or not, Walker‘s publicist has sadly confirmed Paul‘s very untimely death — he was only 40 years old. I was fortunate enough to meet Paul Walker on one occasion at a movie premiere a few years ago. I remember that he was very kind, extremely friendly and just a really nice guy. In fact, I’ve only ever heard good things about the guy from others who worked with or met him him. Accidents like this serve to remind is all that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed and that tragedy can strike at anytime. He worked tirelessly for many best running shoes charity events throughout his life — including Reaching Out World Wide, the organization he helped found that . That Paul was at a ROWW charity event organized to help the people of the Philippines just before his death only adds to the tragedy of this loss. Let’s send our love and best wishes to Walker‘s family and friends as well as the family and friends of his friend who also died in this car accident. Paul will be sorely missed.

Now that Tori Amos and her theater team have this year, it looks like Tori is gearing up to get back on the road for a new concert tour. The eagle-eyed folks at the have gathered together information about concert ticket sales that are popping up for shows all around Europe next year. Nothing has been officially confirmed and we don’t know yet if this rumored tour will come to be but according to one of these ticket sales sites, the tour has already been named (and the new album titled possibly revealed?). HMMM. Click below to read some of and get excited, folks. We may be blessed with a new Tori Amos music and tour in 2014. UPDATED WITH OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION INFORMATION!!

Nearly a year ago, in an online interview for El Mundo, Tori indicated that, after focusing on The Light Princess in 2013 and releasing a new record, she would probably tour again in 2014. During meet and greets prior to some of The Light Princess performances, she echoed the same plans, talking about a new record and a tour in 2014 as well. Of course, nothing has been officially announced this early but, as often happens, some possible dates and locations have surfaced via other means… First, Rome’s Auditorium Parco della Musica sent out a press release about their upcoming 2013-2014 musical season which included Tori in list of performers. No date was given and nothing has been added to their event calendar yet but, as @GianniSpigno reported on Twitter, the newspaper Corriere said that Tori would be performing at the Auditorium on June 2nd as part of their on-going La Voce series … DocSnyder also points out a “ghost” listing in Eventim’s iOS app which has a listing for dates from May 19th through June 10th. The listing, which is cryptically titled “Tori Amos: The Unrepenta…” (it doesn’t fit), has no further information but the Eventim website calls it The Unrepentant Geraldines Tour as does the German concert site Kartine.de. No dates are listed though … DocSnyder spied five German dates on BonnTicket: May 19th in Frankfurt, May 20th in Berlin, May 29th in Hamburg, June 9th in Stuttgart, and June 10th in Munich. Note that BonnTicket indicates that tickets for all but Stuttgart will be available at 9:00 AM Monday, onitsuka tiger mini cooper by asics November 25th. We’re not sure if BonnTicket is a reseller or an outlet so we’ll have to see how that plays out.

If memory serves, this is the way we found out about Tori‘s last tour when she was readying the release of her greatest hits-like album Gold Dust. Ticket sale dates and cryptic tour dates started to surface online and then, eventually, those ticket sales and dates were confirmed officially. If the tour is to be called The Unrepentant Geraldines Tour, it stands to reason that her album might be titled Unrepentant Geraldines. HMMM. I was actually hoping that Tori would be ready to release a new album and launch a new tour once The Light Princess opened but, honestly, I feared that we might have to wait until 2015 for that to happen. If she is ready to go in 2014, I am SO READY for her to hit us with some new music and a new tour. I was unable to see Tori on her most recent tour last year in support of her album Gold Dust (because her US dates in NYC and LA never came to be and she only toured in Europe) so I’m really anxious to see her live again. The last time I saw Tori Amos live was back in December and of 2011. This is great, hopeful news. Let’s hope we get to hear some good and official news soon.

UPDATE: It looks like the rumors are true. Tori Amos‘s official website has been updated with the first batch of official 2014 tour dates (many shows go on sale this week!) and a description of Tori‘s new album Unrepentant Geraldines:

“Unrepentant Geraldines is a return to her core identity as a creator of contemporary songs of exquisite beauty following a series of more classically-inspired and innovative musical projects of the last four years… Fuelled by this array of unique projects and experiences Unrepentant Geraldines is both one further step in the artistic evolution of one of the most successful and influential artists of her generation and a return to the inspiring and personal music that Amos is known for all around the world.”

Gladiators, the postpartum Scandal recaps are officially underway! I type this with strapped in my Boba Wrap (), and it’s all very surreal. Speaking of surreal… last night’s episode though? So much weirdness popping off, right? Lisa Kudrow showed up out of nowhere (we knew she was coming, but still– I was totally surprised), Olivia showed her softer side (AKA the side of her that is scurred shizz-less of her Dad), and Jake is seriously, for real back in the building?! What’s really good with this season right now? Click inside for more!

On the one hand, this episode was kind of hilarious, right? First, the Gladiators had a new client in the sexting Senator who we all know was a shouts-out to the one and only Anthony Weiner. This guy was soooo the worst with all his sext buddies reading all his ridiculous sexts aloud in a court of law. Madness.

Then we had this really interesting storyline that involves Huck, Jake, Papa COMMAND, and that dude Huck totally killed last week. We still don’t know all of the details, but that Operation Remington stuff is at the center and I’m very curious to find out what exactly went down, why that dude had to die, and what the President has to do with all of it. In the meantime, let’s get to drama from last night!

1. Okay, Olivia’s Daddy Issues Are Getting Scary Now

Olivia was SO weird in this episode! I never in a million years thought I’d hear her say that she needed to look the other way, or walk away from a situation. Literally, the definition of Olivia Pope is never looking the other way or walking away from a situation that needs… situating, LOL. So when Jake came at her about her father and his involvement in pretty much everything awful, I was shocked to hear her say she wanted nothing to do with it. This is a def a side of Liv that we’ve never seen; it’s really sad and kinda scary, but something tells me she’s not gonna be able to turn a blind eye for long.

2. Quinn. Is. INTERESTED!!!

So Quinn‘s crazy ass follows Huck to his AA meeting, where he confesses to falling off the bandwagon and having some ‘whiskey’ AKA killing the shizz out of someone. But here’s the creepy part– Quinn was, like, DYING to know what went down, in a really messed up way! She kept pressing Huck to find out who he killed, but she tried to play it off like she was worried about him. Finally Huck flipped out on her (he gets really scary when he’s mad… right?) and was all, Bish please. YOU ARE INTERESTED! As in, don’t act like you want me to get this off my chest for me, when you’re a creepy little Baby Huck and you want to hear all the details because you get off on this shizz too. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again– I’m really scared to see how Quinn might turn out by the end of this season. Like. Really scared.

3. Oh, Hai Lisa Kudrow

Okay, I like where this storyline is going! Lisa Kudrow popped up in this episode as the disapproving Congresswoman onitsuka tiger ultimate 81 parkour Josephine Marcus, and it looks like she’s going to function as some political competition for Fitz. Cyrus had to get some dirt on her (after Mellie‘s big blunder), and it turns out that she was a teen mother who gave her baby up– of course this should make for some pretty juicy stuff next week.

4. Mellie & Fitz Have A Moment

Okay, this was a small moment, but I thought it was really interesting. So, Mellie made these really nasty comments about Congresswoman Marcus, and when they went public, Mellie had some ‘splaining to do. She made a public apology, but nothing could save her from the wrath of Cyrus (who’s steadily workin’ on his next heart attack– am I right?). But I loved, loved, loved this moment when Fitz defended her and told Cy to back the eff off. Did y’all see Mellie‘s face? She got all gooey-eyed for Fitz for, like, two whole seconds! And then she pulled away looking pissed. I think in that moment she realized that Fitz has this way of being there for her sometimes, but without being in love with her. Mellie is so damn tough! And I think it’s easy to forget that deep down, she probably really loves Fitz, and is much more torn up over his relationship with Liv than she lets on.

5. The Return Of Jolivia???

Awwwww shizz! It’s going down! Jake and Olivia cuddled up at the end of the episode and when they started making out I was all like Ummmmm why am I into this? LMAO! I love Olitz and I loved that moment when Fitz called her, but Liv kinda had a bad day and she deserved a make out session with a hot guy. Period. I mean, we all deserve that when we get bad news (i.e. our sexting client is innocent, but his wife is a damn killer).

Coupla questions: So, did the Senator’s wife lit’rally get away with murder? Is anyone else totally okay with Olivia making out with Jake? Can Abby & David make this happen or what? And finally, how hilarious was that scene between Cyrus and James?! Y’all know which one– James was straddling Cy in the bed, trying to get a quote, but it totally came off like he was tryna get something else… LMAO! Shonda, you slay me gurl.
