The Newport International Airport (IATA: NPT, ICAO: NRCL) is the international aiport that serves the city of Newport, in the Republic of Newport, and its surrounding metropolitan area. In 2007, it replaced Jungdo International Airport as the main international gateway to the National Capital Region.
Newport International Airport is located in the Eastern District, or Airport Way District. It is less than 10 kilometers east of the national capital city's central business district.
The airport is managed by the National Port Authority, a branch of the Department of Transportation and Communications.
