Penthesili 2008, officially known as the Games of the Seventh Simlympiad, was a major international multi-sport event which was celebrated in Penthesili, Dimland from August 4 to September 7, 2008 and followed by the Penthesili 2008 Paralympics from September 7 to September 9 despite being dubbed the "August Simlympiad".
More than a thousand athletes representing (NUMBER OF NATIONS) competed in 50 sports. It was the first time the torch relay was ever held. It was also the first Simlympiad the AU participated in since its founding due to the cancelation of Windsor Park 2007 in December 2007 and the March 2008 Simlympics.
