You too can write messages to our glorious leader. Just click the + symbol next to the Edit link at the top of the page. This create a new thread for your message. And when you reply click the Edit link next to thread headings. This will put the thread subject in the edit history so it is easier to tell what it was about.

You can add your signature and a datestamp at the end of the message by putting four tildas, ~~~~. If you want to enter your own name putting five tiltas will just at the date, ~~~~~.

To indent you text put a colon ":" at the beginning of the line. Use multiple colons to indent further. You can also do a line break without putting in a blank line by useing the html tag <br>. You will need to put a colon on the new line to indent it.

Categories

I hope you don't mind my creating a whole lot of categories and putting stuff in them. I see that you have started using them yourself, so it probably isn't a problem. :)

I don't, but I think "Space Fleets" shoudl be "Military Units".
Boots 10:25, 7 October 2006 (EDT)
Yeah, I wasn't quite sure about that (Spacefleet or something else).
Another naming thing I had a query about: Do you like spaceship, space ship or space craft. Trying to think of a naming convention that will suit military and civilian, both manned and unmanned (I assume that they exist or will exist so trying to allow for expansion).
And should all man made space instalations be filed under space stations? Things like "space stations", "space ports", "ship yards", etc.
--Randall Sakai 22:14, 7 October 2006 (EDT)
I think we need separate categories for Shipyards, spaceports etc. I also like Tom's idea of a 'space hub', which would be a planetdise port for ferrying things up to spaceports in orbit. I prefer Spacecraft, for space-borne ship.

Solar Nations

Posting the question because you don't want extra factions created.

Is currently 1 solar Nation, France. And a place holder for one Japan. I was ythinking of creating one each for Mexico and Italy.

They don't need to factions in of themselves, but there are a number of pages that reference them (or would if their mention were links). Mexico could at least mention how it become the 51st state of UISA. And Italy must still be doing something, even if they are trying to be neutral.

Knock yourself out - this is the point of the Wiki. I said no new INTERPLANETARY nations - if it's terrestrial or has no extrasolar posessions, you can do whatever you wnat with it. In other words, I don't want people to say "Italy has a HUGE space fleet pew pew", because that changes the game. I do however wan as much history about the other countries on Earth as posible - so go for it. -Boots
Have added basic pages about Mexico and Italy. Plus added links where menioned on other pages. Still needs more work.

USA
BTW, does the USA still exist as a core component of the UISA? That is the first 50 states are still a core voting block, a country within a country if you like. Or maybe the UISA is like another tier of government: State, Federal, Interplanetary? And each planet has a degree of atonomy. Not sure quite how it works with your current ideas.

If you think it should, please feel free to write it in. There isn't really a US Gm per se, we've all had a crack at it, but as Tom wrote much of the USSR history, you should feel free to write similar history for the UISA. We'll edit it if there are problems. -Boots

RPG Gateway

I posted the ACW site to RPG Gateway. I used the description you submitted for the ROARING. You can find the listing in 2 categories, Aus Gaming Groups and LARP SciFi.

Chronology

I was thinking of turning the years I come across when editing pages into links. That way you could create a chronology or timeline by seeing what pages link to dates. (Chronology - Wikipedia)

That is, create a page of important dates and events by seeing what pages link to it, using the What links here page. I would probably make all the years redirect to one page.

This of course will only get done as I have he time, and not much in the next week. Just though I would post the idea here to for comment. What do you think?
--Randall Sakai 20:43, 3 November 2006 (EST)

I'm for it. It'd be a handy resource for those contributing original content, as well as those looking it up.

Stud & stub categories

The stub templates were created so that pages with a stub added are automatically added to the appropriate category, no need to also add the category tag. --Randall Sakai 07:00, 8 December 2006 (EST)

Links to ACW wiki

Just noticed the a links of wikis hosted page on editthis, and thought you might like to add this wiki. ([1]) I could do it myself, but thought it more polite to suggest you add it. :) --Randall Sakai 21:05, 13 December 2006 (EST)

Category groups -> Rules, Essential Info, Help

Hello, I was going to add: Rules, Essential Info, Help

to the Category groups template. Do you see any problem with that?

--Randall Sakai 07:08, 16 December 2006 (EST)

No, go for it. Boots 03:53, 20 December 2006 (EST)

Project:Policy

Hi,
Just noticed links to a Project:Policy page on the delete page. Which I think actually directs to the Acw:Policy page. Thought you might like to add some text to it (when you have the time :).

Problem with redirecting user pages to character pages

Hello. I disagree with the policy of redirecting user pages to character pages. If you stick notes on user talk pages they are told when they log in, but not the talk pages for their character. There are other reasons for this, but I will details them later when I have more time. Just thought I would leavce a note stating my opinion. :) --Randall Sakai 08:57, 1 March 2007 (EST)

Understood. The only reason I prefer to do this is because the vast majority of these users won't fill in anything meaningful on their User: page, and if they were only to fill in one I'd prefer it was their in-character one. Secondly, I'd prefer the whole wiki was in-character. More importantly, I left yours and Tom's as-is, because you were clearly using them, and contrary to popular belief, I'm not a nazi ;) Boots 08:26, 3 March 2007 (EST)
