Posting emails to the group is restricted. This is to prevent the group becoming overrun by non-event-related emails.
- Before you post an email, refer to writing an event email for guidelines on how to write a good event email.
Sending out an event email for non-organisers
- Email your event suggestion to aclubbrussels@yahoo.com and ask us to post it out on the list for you
- The organisers will check that your mail has all the necessary information and then post it out
Instructions for A-Club organisers
Posting an email
You need the current username and password of the A-Club yahoo account.
- Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Aclubbrussels/
- Sign in (at the top)
- Username: *****
- Password: *****
- Username: *****
- Click post
- Enter your message
- Preview
- Check your message (see the checklist of things to include in an event email)
- Send
If posting the message like this fails
Try again, sometimes it just doesn't work temporarily.
Check that your message contains valid ASCII characters. I found that a message with Euro symbols in failed lots of times. Then I changed it to EUR and it worked.
If it still doesn't work, try the following:
- Go to the yahoo mail account http://mail.yahoo.com
- (As you logged in to yahoo above, you should still be logged in correctly. This will only work if you're logged in as aclubbrussels@yahoo.com)
- Send the message as an email to aclubbrussels@yahoogroups.com
- Of course it's just a normal email, which you can't preview first, so be careful. (If you've copied text from the yahoogroups page, check for hard line-breaks which mess up the formatting.)
