Front Line is the seventh mission in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. Yuktobanian ships and aircraft stage a landing operation against Sand Island. As a measure of desperation, Osea employed young trainee pilots.
Mission objectives
The first objective is to destroy as many enemy vessels and aircraft as possible. No enemies can cross onto the island. The Scinfaxi launches burst missiles at the Oseans, but as of White Bird (Part I), the Arkbird is used as a weapon and destroys the missiles. However, the Scinfaxi launches several missiles at once and the Arkbird is unable to destroy them. The missiles kill the trainees. In order to evade the missiles, the player must climb above 5,000 feet.
After this, the Scinfaxi surfaces. She is heavily armed with SAMs and Anti-aircraft guns along with naval aircraft. Blaze (the player) must destroy these defences and the ship.
