White Bird (Part I) is the sixth mission in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War.
Mission background
The Arkbird, an Osean spacecraft obriting the Earth, has potential to become a weapon. To meet this, Basset Space Centre is going to launch an SSTO craft to intercept the Arkbird and fit it with a laser. During the launch, Yuktobanian forces attempt to stop the launch.
Mission description
Yuktobanian C-130 Hercules transport aircraft are flying over the launch bridge. They drop ABN Tanks that parachute down and attack. Blaze (the player) and Wardog squadron can either destroy the tanks in midair or wait for them to reach the ground. After the tank barrage, the player must dispose of several cruise missiles being launched.
