Open War is the second mission of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. Wardog squadron's mission is to shoot down UAVs returning to a ship. Wardog is not to fire on the ship. During the mission, enemy fighters appear and attack. Later in the mission, Jack Bartlett is shot down by a SAM from the ship. He ejects, but later rescue attempts turn up no signs of him.
