As revealed in [[Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War]], Belka has attempted to invade the eastern countries many times, possibly for hundreds of years. In the late 1980s or early 1990s, Belka was in a despression and allowed part of its territory to become [[Ustio]]. But Ustio became rich off resources and Belka waged war in the east again, after being taken over by an extreme right-wing party. This was known as the [[Belkan War]], featured in [[Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War]].
