[edit] Script

Alright, then. Let's take a look into the damage dealt here... Forgive me, my friends. The Algorithm has just started inventing its own fighters and I'm just sitting here looking into the fruits of this contraption's labors in the wake of the half-solar lap that has passed in my absence. Hmm... let's take a look... Trevor Belmont, samples SSF2's moveset for decendant Simon Belmont. Very clever use of fangame as is Project M's style of Sonic getting slapped onto Blaze the Cat with a coat of fire effects, very good, another strong female character for the lineup. Federation Force Troops over baseline Samus including with Adam Malkovich, Anthony Higgs, and the rest of the 07th Platoon as alts. Well, that clunky moveset has to go somewhere now that Samus has a better suit to bring to Perfection. What's this, A Pokemon Trainer: Ash Katchum with Pikachu, Charizard, Greninja and conceptual fighters Bayleef and Lycanrok, good to see the concepts of my peers in use. Case and Point BJ's Waluigi has been moved to Birdo as Pizzadude's Waluigi has been deemed the baseline. Duke of Dorks has his Waluigi's Special Moves cannibalized by Baseline Dark Pit to remain in the code with Squeaky's unique Dark Pit now in place. And the new form it's to take is: Masahiro Sakurai, What?! Okay, makes sense, Sakurai loves the character he crafts so it makes sense he'd be overlaid over one of them, that's what Smash Four Modders --- intended to do for an April Fools Day gift to him. So what's next? Squeaky's Jigglypuff ideas go to Igglybuff and Wigglytuff with the new moves mixed proportionately amongst the old. Seems Legit. Squeaky's Unique Mewtwo becomes Ultimew, an altered Mewtwo form that Mew fashioned for itself, fanmade design but it can work. Also from Squeaky, we have a Ganondorf concept which has been spliced into... Walhart?! Ugh, whatever, so long as it stays in the realm of video games, I am perfectly fine with what comes next.

.Dragonball FighterZ.

Is it echo time? I think it's echo time.

To preface this new wave of Echoes, this video was inspired by that of fellow Smash YouTuber Delthezin. Henceforth, the rules laid out by him in his video still stand. They must use a fighter that exists in the base game, moveset requires some variation, new animations and altered attacks are allowed so long as they don't put too much strain on development or alter the hitboxes too much. New Final Smash Attacks and new/borrowed specials are allowed so long as it's a safe enough copy-paste job. And an extra rule for ours here would be that no repeats of Delthezin or Ultimate itself unless a special case is proposed, meaning those who want Bluster Kong in the game for whatever are out of luck here but with Isabelle being a semiclone free of the Echo Fighter label, the Villager is now open for a midseason replacement Echo. With all that said, Time to Tip the Scales.

With all that said, let's start with an easy one, or at least it sounded easy on paper. -King Hippo- Seeing as my peers created a moveset for Mr. Sandman and a Little Mac echo for Glass Joe, I find it fitting that one of the other icons of Punch-Out! follows suit using the same method, slapping most of Little Mac's specials onto the familiar croc. We get a slower, but sturdier iteration of the bruiser from the bronx. Any move that uses anything other than K. Rool's boxing gloves is replaced with a corresponding move from Little Mac. Down Special remains the same as it is with K.Rool minus the super armor, Wario lends his Up Special to help with Hippo's recovery. Boxing Gloves are automatic shields like with the Links. And for the Final Smash: a flurry of fists yoinked right from Giga Mac. I kind of see this as one of the two main staples for the Punch-Out reps, second being the Boxing Glove shields.

And while we're on the topic of recycling fighters from one verse to another.... -Giygas-. Yes, Squeaky's Zoning Mewtwo is in Perfection and as a result, it leaves his Melee movement open for use. Hence, the first big bad of the Mother Series takes up the sword. Down Special is akin to Mewtwo's Confusion but it causes the opponents he strikes to begin breaking down in tears. Up Special is PK Warp: a Teleport yoinked from Zelda which leaves an apparition of Giygas' form in Earthbound as he disappears and reappears as the Hylian Princess does with her move. For the Final Smash, an attack which we cannot grasp the true form of because Earthbound. Though his series is is reletively obscure, that clearly hasn't stopped its fans fueling Perfection's collection of reps, so adding in another wouldn't necessarilly be out of the realm of possibility. Just add in Hinawa and Duster and we'll be one Claus away from Mother 3's best possible ending.

Fellow Smash Concept Engineer and Brawlhalla Scrublord Delthezin suggested Slippy as Fox's Echo twice but if you ask me... There is another. -Peppy- The Mentor of the leading vulpin and lifelong friend of the guy's late father, Peppy has the most useful idea for a possible Echo. The slowest of the Star Fox team, but the hardest to knock off of the stage. His attacks would hit hard, and his moves would imply a bit of skill and forethought going into them. For example, his side-b could be slightly controllable, functioning more like Pikachu’s up-b rather than the traditional Star Fox side-b. Down Special has him bury a land mine and for the Final Smash: a blast from the Great Fox should learn 'em.

But we're not going to leave Slips empty-handed here, for there's still one base teammate left untouched. The unruly ace pilot of the team. -Slippy- Big hand to reddit user u/Koala_Guru for his ideas. A floatier take on the Melee Golden Goose... er, pheasant. He has plenty of other tricks in his arsenal what with being the gadgeteer of the team, for example: His Down Special has him deploy a mini Arwing Walker drone ala Bowser Jr.'s Side Special, a Gyro Wing drone carrying him upward ala Snake's Fulton device for Up Special and his Standard Special whips out a rocket launcher instead of a blaster. In addition, he would have fun little animations for the various attacks that would give them more properties. For instance, his Side Special would have him accidentally dropping the reflector and diving after it, giving the move a bit of a dash attack feeling on top of the intended function. Final Smash could be a relatively safe Arwing Formation as a little wink to how easy it is for Slippy to get into a Jam.

.New Blood.

We jump from one franchise to another to cook up an echo for the last full fighter churned out for Ultimate's roster out of the box. And since Sakurai added this character because he wanted a heel wrestler, why not add a face? -Rawk Hawk- Our third representive from the Paper Mario subseries and the closest thing it has to a reoccurring character... if you can count a collectable DVD in Super Paper Mario as an appearance... Rawk Hawk is by far the most likely echo that can fit Incineroar as a foil to his Heel personality, what he lacks in burn damage and raw strength he makes up for in speed and precision. His main difference is that his fighting style is relatively less underhanded than his heel counterpart, having turned face in the years since Thousand Year Door. This allows for more tactical approaches to combat, and can be a good tool for easing players into the wrestling play style. A new Down Special can be a pile-driver that functions like the Bowser Bomb, a ground pound move that leaves shock waves across the stage. And for the Final Smash, we take a page from the Street Fighter reps and have two, one that can be activated up close which functions much like Incineroar's and another from afar which is a sweeping swoop attack of sorts.

And now, we come to the third party characters, and have we got ideas for them, mainly the third parties that popped out in from out of the box in the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game. -Miss Pac-Man- the original distaff counterpart of gaming, this leading lady is the easiest to reskin over the yellow one himself. But will she be capable of METAgame prominence? Well, for starters, she can be a high jumper who's quick on her feet but can get launched more easily if a player isn't more careful. Another difference being that she lacks the Galaga Grab, opting instead for a Dig-Dug pump with longer range, the pummel inflating the captive fighter for a split second, forward throw thrusting herself into the air for a leaping kick, back throw pulling her foe for a roundhouse kick, down throw finds an elbow to the gut slamming her opponent into the ground while the up throw monkey-flips said foe into the air. New Specials include a retooled Bonus Fruit as Standard B with the Galaxian removed and the Key followed up by a Boss Galega. Down Special would likely be the Rev Roll from the Pac-Man World Games her husband has used within those games. And of course, the Final Smash would be the standard Power Pellet raid also from the man of the house.

With the female counterpart to Pac-Man joining her lawfully wedded husband, why not keep it in the family for the other third-party newcomer on our list? -Roll- Sister to the Blue Bomber, Roll can easily fit as her brother's Echo Fighter, lighter but faster will be a given since she isn't as well equipped as Rock, lacking the Super Arm for grabs as an example. But she makes up for in the resourcefulness in her playstyle, using her utility arm to vaccum in foes, firing pieces of toast as her forward smash, all that fun stuff. New Specials include Beat Call as her Up Special borrowed from her Brother's SSF2 moveset, Ring Boomerang as Side Special, and for the Final Smash: Hyper Roll comes back with the Rolls of Megaman History such as Iris, Ciel and Harp Note. You could even break out Mega Girl and Roll from Captain N and the Ruby-Spears cartoon respectively.

All of these make for excellent Echo fighters but for every Bandana Dee, there is a Son Goku. Question Is, where do these Echo Fighters fall on this list? Well, that all depends on their relevance. Roll and Miss Pac-Man can easily fit in with the roster as would Black Shadow as there would more than likely be no other way to justify such inclusions otherwise. Ninten and Giygas are up in the air, Rawk Hawk is all but forgotten by Nintendo at this point in his series' history. Igglybuff and the Federation Force exist for no other reason other than the Algorithm made it so. Any of these newcomers will do for Ultimate's DLC, no matter how much we might have to pay for them... But what do you fine viewers make of these findings, leave your thoughts in the comments below, suggest new fighters if you feel so inclined and subscribe for more videos in the months to come unless you're under the reign of the Fourth Reich in which you're out of luck. Thank you So much for watching and until the next project, the workshop's closed.
