Garloks have dark brown hair, worn long, and have skin tanned brown by the sun. The lower half is covered in thick brown fur and their legs end in hooves similar to horses'. Their hands have three fingers. The whites of their eyes are bright yellow, and the iris is discernable from them, but the pupils are black and slitted. Males are built much larger than females and have two long spiraling horns on either side of their foreheads. Females are built more slenderly, and their legs end in hooves that are cloven, rather than solid.

Aniei

Aniei is located in the Tryn galaxy, and is the second planet from the sun Aten. Its climate is dry and hot, with cold nights. The planet is made up of low grassy lands with both low-lying brush and trees whose branches umbrella over the area around them and provide plentiful shade. Game is plentiful, as are the people who inhabit the planet.

Unlike many planets in the Alvarunus, Aniei is home to several different races of Aliens. As known, these races include the Garlok, I'keel, Lagat, Sh'eere and Uotuan peoples. The Sh'eere, I'keel and Uotuan are at peace with each other and band together in times of war and need. The Garlok and Lagat are enemy against each other and the three previously mentioned races.

The Garlok The Garlok are the most technologically advanced of the races on Aniei, with crude flying ships and large stone cities, built near oases. They are a noble people and very proud, ruled by a king and usually his sons. All men are warriors or merchants, and all women are left to household chores, though some have had the privilege to become warriors in service of the king.

I'keel The I'keel come out when the sun begins to set and are for the most part nocturnal hunters. All are brought up to hunt and survive; the I'keel are nomads with no permanent residence of any kind. Children are taught to hunt from a very young age; infants are taken on hunts, strapped to the back of either the mother or the father. Families are not constricted to small groups; an entire "pack" of I'keel will look after the young and old together. They are a peaceful people, but several packs will band together for defense if it is needed.

The large eyes of the I'keel and their lean bodies are ideal for night vision and swift movement. The daytime will find them napping in their tree-hammocks, which are made of strong Minka vines. These hammocks, along with dried meat, tarps, blankets, and stone jugs of water are carried wherever the I'keel travel.
