New Hong is the one of the largest cities in Gevon (Lito and Capetown are other large cities) as well as its economic and political capital. Founded almost four hundred years ago, it is today arguably the most important hub for commerce, transportation, and politics in the Far East. The city and its suburbs have a total of almost fifteen million people, living in what is referred to as the Hong Metropolitan Area.
New Hong is a beautiful city with many freeways, skyscrapers and plant life, and is cut in half by the Angel River. Because of the river, it seperats the downtown from the suburbs. The city is connected to the world by a fairly new international airport, over six freeways and fifteen high-speed rail links. It was and continues to be a socially progressive, safe city, with low crime rates and good infrastructure.
