Overview

Many diffrent "therioes" exist about the supposed "massive" nuclear reacotor "leak" that occured in Permenta in July 2007. Here are a whole bunch of diffrent therioes. As many as 27% of Fudk's and 53% of Permenta's population belive one or more of these conspiracy therioes.

Alien Crash/Government cover up Theroy

This is your standard, Roswell-like alien theroy, with the exection here being that the ships nuclear reactor blew up upon crash. This is supported by "some type of meteor" falling from the sky and "causing hundreds of small nuclear explosions", as reported by several hundred thousand eyewitnesses. This has so far a tiny sized amount of support among the Fudk population (the standard lunatic fringe of 1%. The government has taken over the remaining areas to search for intact engines. Massive "Blac Ops" training ground/NUKE soldier training ground"

This theroy, out of them all, has so far recieved the strongest support of any version of events diffrent than that of the governments. This theroy states that there never was any sort of "nuclear leak," that the government, running out of land to train its new "Blac Op" Soldiers, instituded a massive cover up and merely acted as if there was a nuclear leak. (another variant holds that the government delibratley created a leak in a reactor it was overviewing, "the first reactor to report any type of problem, and put timed bombs on the remaining reactors to give a pretense for a massive evacuation of Permenta.) The government then, shortly after evacuating, blew up a small number of plants to create an area in which it could train its "NUKE shock troops," (the "meteor" falling to earth were missles, and the "small nuclear explosions" were those of the reactors, not an alien space crafts many engines.) or troops that go into an area shortly after the dropping of a nuclear bomb to set up lines of defense and commandeer the remaining buildings. The 2/3 of the remaining "unnoccupied" Permenta would be bases for the "Blac OPs" whom by some estimates are even as large as the army. The remaining ground will become army bases. After all, little of the land is actually contaminated and all of it is probably being put to some use. As for the Uranium, well, the government just sold the rest of it, after using an ample supply to build nukes.

The Government Version

The Government version states that there was a problem at one of the nuclear reactors. It soon exploded. This caused a chain reaction with nearby reactors, enough so that it was necessary to evacuate almost the entire island of Permenta. The supposed "meteor" was actually many thousands of pices of derbis that was being shot up in the air by one explosion, that struck another set of reactors, causing another set of explosions. No one was killed, for everyone in the immidiant area was forced to evacuate from the entire facility when a major problem (explosion imminent) was reported. An island wide evacuation followed shortly. A majority of Fudk's population (if not Permenta's) belive this story.
