Jon Trout is the First President-for-life of The Armed Republic of Fudk. He is very much liked and rarely has his approval ratings dipped below 50%. He recived some small criticism for his supposed link to the "annexation" of Kyoti, but thats where most of the arguments stop. He is currently following a "Whoever does it better" strategy, meaning that if he thinks the government can handle something better, like health care, he creates something like universal health care. If he thinks buisness can handle health care better, he lets them take care of it. Its that simple.

While he has been criticized by the far right because of the abnormally high taxes he puts on people, an overwhelming 92% agree that they are willing to give up their money to let this government continue. He has faced stiffed opposition when taking action on the enviorment, frequently being termed a "tree hugger". Yet despite this, most people are glad they elected him, and some say they will never remove him from office.

More recentley, he has been accused of slowly "walking the path to dictatorship." Most of these accusations have come from the news media,in response to his creation of a Ministry of Information and his requirement that all media stories be passed by this in order to prevent misinformation from news agency errors which previously cost the country close to a billion dollars. An incredible 86% agree with Jon Trout, however, and it seems that the Ministry of Information has become a permenant fixture.
