Immediately after coming to power, the new Executor, Dayo Pe; declared his intention of delivering the Caldari into the stars within 10 years which is even compared to other major powers an ambitious plan but the mentality of the Caldari is that anything is possible if they work hard towards their goals. Pe also plans on radically reforming the standard of living for some of the State's poorest people by commissioning them on many public works projects he has in mind including the revitalization of the railways and the expansion of telecommunication lines. While many believe that with the ascension of the Meritocracy means the door to democracy is possible; it is different. Democracy failed. Thus, the right to vote is reserved for citizens (those who voluntarily join the armed forces for ten years or work in community-based projects for five years). For the ideal of voting is a privilage and one must work based on their merits in order to obtain it. Executor Pe declared he would end the cronyism and nepotism that has been plaguing the State the past millennia and strive towards putting people who deserve the jobs held by personally appointed people into their proper place and remove those who don't. The Caldari State offers its citizens the best and the worst in living conditions. As long as you keep in line, do your job, uphold the laws and so forth, life can be fairly pleasant and productive. But for those who are not cut out for this strict, disciplined regime life quickly becomes intolerable. They lose their respect, family, status, everything, and the only options left to them are suicide or exile. Although not xenophobic as such, the Caldari are very protective of their way of life and tolerate only those foreigners that stick to the rules.

Their is a giant break in wealth distribution between the CEO's and major officers and the everyday citizen. Most people live in moderate flats which have slightly high rents but overall they are pretty good and more tenements are being built built everyday. On the other side of the scale, the CEO's and high ranking officials live in luxurious penthouse and sometimes their own skyscrapers. Taxes are though the roof for everyone as even officials pay them, although most citizens disagree as to why the rates are high.
