Physical gold mining is siilmar. Every dollar of gold mined entails approximately one dollar of resources consumed by the miners. As far as I know, politicians are not using this against gold miners or any other producer commodities (note that I am not saying that bitcoin is a commodity, only that the principle applies to commodities).
