History
Palmach AZA was established in 2005. The name Palmach comes from the special operations unit of the Haganah.
At the beginning of the 2004-2005 school year, Exodus AZA #2505-0420 knew that its membership numbers (which exceeded 75) were extraordinarily large and that a split of some kind was necessary either in the middle of that year or at the end. Alephs Shaun Lee and Sammy Shapiro served as co-S’gans of that chapter, and when the split/fuse (members from Hazakah AZA were supposed to join as well, yet only a few did) took place at the end of that year, Shaun and Sammy went their separate ways to each be the Godol of a chapter, Shaun of Exodus, and Sammy of the new Atlanta Council AZA chapter.
