The position of Rakkaz is unique and requires a large amount of energy and willingness. The Rakkaz will work closely with the Moreh and Shaliach to help with membership recruitment and retention and also to plan services and help with BBYO’s Stand Up Campaign. Rakkaz also serves as an aid to any other position on board. Because the position leaves large gaps of idleness, the Rakkaz is elected to serve and assist all the other Regional Board members with whatever they may need. The Rakaaz is also responsible for making sure that spirit at conventions is always upbeat and that everyone is having fun. The Rakkaz's main job is to program and coordinate convention, and its programs. The Rakkaz is essentially the spirit/social chair at all regional events. The Nassau Suffolk Region (NSR) and the Connecticut Valley Region (CVR) are the only regions with this position. Currently held by Alephs Eric Ross Birnbaum (NSR) and Izaake Zuckerman (CVR).
