Eugine Michael Branson (born 1985 in Detroit, Michigan) better known by his stage name Mich Igan is a fictional American rapper. Igan is currently signed to Mississlippy Records.

Early Life

Branson was born in 1985 to parents George and Martha Branson in Detroit, Michigan. Branson was enrolled in day care and he graduated as valedictorian.

Branson was enrolled in Monterey Elementary School. While in elementary school, Branson won first place in the Fairview District Regional Junior Science Fair and placed second as the state level.

Life of Crime

When Branson was ten, his parents split up and began living with his father in Michigan and with his mother in Northern California on the weekends. By age 12 Branson was suffering from depression and his grades began to fall drastically.

At the age of 14, Branson left home and became friends with Joey Cipriani, head of the Junior Mafia. Branson began involved with crime and was working full time by the age of 15. At 16, Branson left the Junior Mafia. He moved into his girlfriend's apartment and began look for a legal job.

At 18, Branson was seen by Joey Cipriani while working at at McDonald's. Branson was told of a big job that the Junior Mafia needed help with. Branson was told that if the job was successful that he could retire by age 21. So he aggreed.

The job was committed on February 31, 2003 and went successfully. However, Branson was caught on camera and was arrested. Branson went to prison at age 19.

Music Carer

Branson was sent to Pepsi Presents: The Greater Michigan Area Maximum Security Prison. Pepsi Presents: The Greater Michigan Area Maximum Security Prison has talent nights and has prizes. Branson turned to music for relief and eventually Branson began trying for the performances but was not allowed because he did not have a stage name. So he came up with the name Mich Igan.

In 2007, an employee for Mississlippy was doing court ordered community service at Pepsi Presents: The Greater Michigan Area Maximum Security Prison. The employee spotted Branson and contacted the company and said they were not interested. A week later, Branson was spotted again by a different employee doing community service and was invited backstage for a meeting. Branson agreed to a contract and was signed. In 2008, he was officially signed to Mississlippy Records and became the second to do so. However, it is not known when, if ever, the album will be released as there is no recording studio in Pepsi Presents: The Greater Michigan Area Maximum Security Prison.

In January 2012, Mississlippy Records was closed. However, Mississlippy still has a contract with Mich Igan and both are looking at their options if Mich Igan were ever to be released from prison.
