Weird Al Yankovich is not be be confused with the more talented, Weird Al Yankovic.
Weird Al Yankovich (born Alfred Tyler Yankovich) was an American parodist. Yankovich was born in Kentucky on July 18, 1961. A majority of Yankovich's songs are racist, sexually explicit, or otherwise offensive.

In school, Yankovich was an average student. In school Yankovich was an outcast and his fellow students found that he acted wired. In elementary school, Yankovich received the nickname "Weird Al" however, Yankovich could not spell very well and always misspelled weird "wierd" even to this very day. Later in life it was discovered that Yankovich suffered from a learning disability.
In the 1970's Yankovich started using marijuana and began submitting his comedy songs to a local radio station. By 1978, Yankovich had gained popularity and was performing weekly at local bars. It was during this time that Yankovich's carer started to gain speed. Yankovich was starting to make a decent living. At the end of the decade, Yankovich began making his songs more racist and sexually explicit.
In the 1980's Yankovich's carer started to decline. No record label would sign Yankovich because of his offensive songs. Soon after, Yankovich was suffering from depression.

On the night of September 9, 1984, Yankovich went to a 7-Eleven convince store and bought a shotgun from the bargin bin. On September 13, Yankovich's body was found in an undisclosed location somewhere in California.
[edit] Return of Wierd Al
1n 1998, new songs by Yankovich began appearing on the early Napster. This resulted in a full FBI search as to where these songs were coming from. Some people thought that they actually belonged to Weird Al and it was just a spelling error. However, "Weird Al" Yankovic denied the accusations and proved that the accused songs were too offensive and low quality to be his.
However, the FBI abandoned their search in 1999 to prepare for the Y2K. After the Y2K crisis was over, the FBI forgot about Yankovich and quit the search all together.

In 2002, it was discovered that Yankovich was living under the name James Smith and that he faked his death in 1983 to avoid paying taxes.
After Napster shut down, Al kept writing songs and eventually released 2 albums under his brother's record label, Karl Rogers And Peter Picard International Entertainment (abbreviated KRAPPIE Records).

Wierd Al Yankovich was referenced in an episode of King of the Hill.

Wierd Al Yankovich is often referred to as Weird Al Yankovic and Yankovic is often confused with Yankovich. Many people do not know that Yankovic and Yankovich are two different people. However, it is easy to spot the differences.
- Yankovic's songs are more family friendly.
- Yankovich's songs are often racist and offensive.
- Yankovic records in a professional studio.
- Yankovich records in his brother's basement.
