So Edwin invested in it by himself. By mid 1987, Edwin Richards had a 49% share in Jayatsu America. However, he passed away soon after. Edwin's 49% share was passed to his son, Kevin.

Jayatsu Manufacturing was founded in 1958 by C. Yoon as Jayatsu Industrial Manufacturing.

In 1968, Jayatsu Agriculture was created. Jayatsu began manufacturing farm implements in 1971 and in 1975, the first Jayatsu tractor was released.

In 1983, Jayatsu Industrial launched Jayatsu America.

In 1986, American Edwin Richards begins investing in Jayatsu America under the name EJR2.

In 1988 Jayatsu was bought by Han Lee.

In 1989, a new partnership was formed between Jayatsu Industrial and EJR2.

In 1991, C. Yoon retired as President of Jayatsu Industrial and Han Lee becomes president.

In 1992, EJR2 was merged with EJR Manufacturing.
