Basic Info

Expage.com gave users one basic page to edit. Although, a user could create multiple pages and link them together.

Expage shut down March 1st, 2007 due to other hosting websites becoming more popular and leaving Expage behind.

Closure

Expage shut down on March 1st, 2007.

"It really has been a great run, but Express Pages has become outdated as new sites and communities have become more popular. Unfortunately the time has come to close down the site. The Express Page Team would to thank you so much for being part of our internet community." -Expage.com[1]

Features

Pages on Expage could have the following features:

  • Games
  • Guest book
  • Mini Quiz (more like a poll than a quiz)
  • Todays Comics

Trivia

  • Although the login asked for an e-mail, a valid e-mail was not needed. When signing up a user could use the e-mail example@example.com and after the sign-up it did not even have to be an e-mail address.
  • When the site was shutting down, Expage suggested that users move their pages to geocities.yahoo.com. Yahoo! closed GeoCities on October 26, 2009.
