[edit] Television For Gamers

G4TV started out as a small UHF station dedicated to gamers. The channel was launched in 2002 by CommieCast. Their plan was to make a channel like TechTV but aimed toward the MTV gamer crowd. However, the channel was not succeeding well enough.

Notable Shows:

  • Arena
  • Cinematech
  • Filter

[edit] G4TechTV

In 2004, TechTV was at the height of their carer. So CommieCast (being a giant monopoly) decided to "invest" in TechTV. In May, CrapCast bought TechTV and decided to merge the good channel with their crappy one and form G4techTV. Doing so meant moving the TechTV studios from San Fransisco to Los Angelas. The new G4techTV was launched on May 28, 2004. After the move, it became apparent that CommieCast was not interested in most of TechTV's shows (TechLive, Call for Help) and only saved X-Play and The Screen Savers.

Notable Shows:

  • Cheat!
  • Cinematech
  • Filter
  • The Screen Savers
  • X-Play

[edit] Death of TechTV and Return to G4

On February 15, 2005 G4 fired all remaining TechTV staff* and renamed The Screen Savers to Attack of The Show. The only survivors were Adam Sessler, Morgan Webb, and X-Play. By the end of the day, the channel was back to G4.

Notable Shows:

  • Attack of The Show
  • X-Play

[edit] Television For Idiots

In 2008, G4 began moving away from the video games format. The channel is starting to air game shows and other retarded crap.

Shows:

  • Attack of the Show
  • Puke!
  • I Survived a Japanese Game Show
  • Kinniku Banzuke
  • Ninja Warrior
  • SASUKE
  • X-Play
