Angel

The Angels are legends amung the human races but a reality in Istarra. Over 100 years ago, the white god in his obsession to become worshipped like a Christian God of old created an almost perfect species. Selecting the most caring of his human worshipers, he removed their hatred, desires and selfishness and reinforced the determination for harmony. He empowered them with holy powers of healing, strength and intelligence as well as wings and an almost eternal life expectancy.
Not long after their creation, the angels quickly discovered that their creator was not as benevolent as themselves. Realising he ruled with a facist heart they left the newly formed confederacy in search of a truely harmonic goddess and people. They found Istarra and Gaia.
Being accepted with open arms by Gaia the angels swore oaths of protection to the goddess of nature. The angels become the second species to be guardians to Gaia, the first being Squirrelkin. The Angels took the skies above Istarra and in the permanent holy clouds above they made the sanctuary of light, which became the home of the angels.
Despite an angels incredable natural power and unwavering loyalty to their holy existance, angels have one flaw in their design, they were made from man. Being great in power, it is not uncommon for an angel to physically fight injustice when the need is present, an angel is even willing to take life to preserve the many. However when they do this, their holy light becomes tainted. When angels take a life despite its origional desire for protection of the light, their holy powers begin to change. If the angel continues to kill to protect, which is not uncommon during wartimes, the deaths will make a lust for death within them, increasing their desire to kill, as the desire mounts so too does their way of killing change. Swift blows of mercy become slow torturous deaths so the angels can prolong the experience of the kill. The angels will even lust to consume their pray entirely and drink the blood of the slain. When an angel hungers for this blood, they have changed from a holy angel, to what is known as a blood angel.
During the First Kraggi War, the angels were the most used warriors by Istarra. The first into combat and the last to leave, the angels extremely powerful bodies were resistive to ZZombies "meek" rifles and attacks. However, during the first and second Battle of the Baron Lands the angels has slain so many that nearly half had completely changed into bloods.
The Blood Angels seperated themselves from the holy angels and felt new desires of conquest within them, they shunned the old ways of the light and embrased death and destruction. One amung them, Agrias, once an all powerful arch angel, changed to become a blood and became the most murderous of them all. She was the first to kill and drink the blood of a Holy Angel and the first to truely form into the last and final stage into darkness: Fallen Angel. She alone became a living satan.
An uneasy alliance with the Gal-Zabor Agent Ith, Agrias turned her blood angels upon the holy Angels. The blood angels, significantly more powerful and murderous than their healing and caring holy cousins quickly overwhelmed the holy angels and forced Istarra to abandon the First Kraggi War and instead focus on what became known as the Istarra Civil War. A legendary battle between good and evil.
In the end, the Blood angels were defeated as they consumed themselves in their own hatred. Agrias and Ith destroyed each other and the Blood angels turned on each other as they fought for power. The holy angels used this opportunity to claim back the holy sanctuary and the squirrelkin drove off the rest of the blood angels.
As the hundreds of remaining Blood angels were forced out of Istarra, they disappeared into the baron lands. No country has seen them since, but there is a rumour amung "kin" species, that the blood angels will return one day when their fallen leader, Agrias, returns. The cat prophecy itself predicts it.
