Luigi is a character who first appeared in the 1600s as one of the Super Mario Cookies. His appearance was the result of a meltdown at the Mushroom Nuclear Power Plant in Texas. The cookies were shipped anyway and became famous for being the first radioactive cookie that affected the eater's brain in a way that would not let them sue the Power Plant.
