Money solves so many problems

You think you've got about $5000 in the envelope. Even just a small fraction of that should solve many of your problems. Especially your current problem of showing Cindi your rust bucket. So, you walk to the curb and see a cab stand across the street. You put two fingers to your lips and blow a loud whistle. You laugh to see the cabbie startle violently and quickly start the cab and pull a U-turn in the middle of the street. He must have been napping.

You have all the girls get in the back and take the front seat yourself. "To the downtown Hilton, please." The cabbie puts it in gear and roars off.

You turn and look into the back seat. Cindi is in the middle between Kristin and your sister. She looks at you with some appreciation, you think because you're headed to an expensive hotel. You drive past your car and check the parking signs. You're safe till until Monday.
