While you wait for the new clone, you go about your duties of preparing for colonization. You help {LAST_NAME} get the hydroponics ready. At night, you fuck Jo madly, but have recurring fantasies of Inga. Jo is learning at a very quick pace. She is becoming more help on the preparations, and her English is nearly completely fluent. You start to give her more and more of the cooking duties, which she seems to have a flair for. You chuckle because {LAST_NAME} hates cooking. The clone is starting to differentiate from the original.

Since you are going to be using bed 551 regularly to create colonists, you decide to learn more about it. The computer tells you about the 'Mark IX Autonomous Cloning and Maturation Equipment' or ACME. In going over the documentation, you discover something interesting. Apparently, the configuration settings for Jo's cloning weren't quite set right. A check box labeled "Load Base Skills Package" was left unchecked. It seems that once this machine matures the clone into childhood, it can load English and basic skills into the clone's brain with REM brain stimulation. Basically, the machine trains the nascent clone through the clone's dreams." No wonder Jo was such a blank slate. You quickly check the box for Inga.

Reading further, you find more advanced skills that can be downloaded into the clone. These were included in case the colony needed personnel with skills that weren't onboard. You peruse the list. With no doctor around, other than the auto-doc, and with a kid on the way, you pick 'Obstetrics/Gynecology', 'Pediatrics', 'GP Medicine', and 'Surgery'. After that, you only have room for a few more, so you pick 'Child Care/Parenting' and 'Education'. Medicine won't be a full-time job until there are a lot more people, so having someone with skills raising and teaching children would be good. You also pick 'Xenobiology' and 'Acrobatics', because she might as well have her original's skills. Acrobatics is as close to 'Cheerleading' as you can find. Finally, you pick 'Erotic Arts', because you might as well have fun while you're at it.

One day, Jo surprises both of you with a fancy meal that she culled from your rations and the hydroponics. {LAST_NAME} seems very touched by the gesture. After that dinner, {LAST_NAME} and Jo start spending more time together. Your sister seems to have gotten over the weirdness of having another version of herself running around.
