TimeSplitters is a FPS (First-Person Shooter) known for its cartoon-styled graphics and wacky sense of humor. The games are developed by Free Radical Design and have been published by Eidos and EA. Story

in the series all play a part in the TimeSplitters history. TimeSplitters is about a war between the Splitter and the Human race and the whole series is based upon the TimeSplitter War. The main character, Sergeant Cortez, a Space Marine, goes with his sidekick Corporal Hart to retrieve the Time Crystals stolen by the Splitters. The crystals hold the power to journey through time, and the Splitters were using it to change the history of the Human race to their interest.

In TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, Cortez goes on a mission to prevent the TimeSplitters from being created.

There was also an aborted attempt to bring TimeSplitters to the Gameboy Advance called TimeSplitters Advance at the time of development. TimeSplitters 4 was officially announced mid 2007.

In the unofficial side, the only long-standing game or mod made of the series is TimeSplitters Gold, a 2D top-down shooter based on Future Perfect.

Mini-Games

The TimeSplitters series also feature small mini-games. The most well-known are the game cartridges from TimeSplitters 2 that are accessible through the Temporal Uplink.

Other Mini-Games are often featured in challenges, but there are also some small outside of challenges, here is a list of Mini-Games.

Monkey Mini-Games: Read the next section.

Brick Throw: In these challenges you must destroy all windows in a short time, this type of Mini-Games is shown in TimeSplitters 1 & 2.

Behead the Undead: These challenges can be really frustrating as you have to survive and kill off zombies until the needed amount of points is obtained, these are also found in TimeSplitters 1, 2 & Future Perfect.

Duck Hunt: Here you must either knock down, or tag up with one or more duck(s). Red and Green Aliens also come to visit. It's in the Original TimeSplitters

Stealth Mini-Games: In here you have got a small amount of stealth points that decrease whenever you get seen, the timing and the route you take are very important, it is found in TimeSplitters 2 only.

Cut-Out Shoot-Out: Here you must travel through an area that is full of Cardboard figures, you however shouldn't try to shoot good Cardboard people, this was seen in TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect.

TimeSplitters 'Story' Classic: This Mini-Games refer to the original TimeSplitters story mode, in which you had to go towards an item, pick it up and then flee from the TimeSplitters invasion, it is found in both TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect.

Cat Driving: In these games you'll drive Strudel, which is the cat of Khallos. The objective is to pass through checkpoints and clear 3 laps as fast as possible. It is in Future Perfect only as the other games didn't feature the cat.

Super Smashing Great: These are just like Brick Throw, exept the fact that you'll have a weapon other than the Bricks, this version is for the Future Perfect game.

Cortez Can't Jump!: This Challenge has Cortez standing on the elevator at the start of Something to Crow About. You must use the Temporal Uplink to draw the crates close and throw them away thru the rings. It is unique and pretty much fun, it is seen in Future Perfect.

TSUG: TSUG, or TimeSplitters Underground, is another unique challenge. Here you'll get command of 2 auto-guns found in the Subway stage, the left half of the controller is used to make the left gun move and shoot, the right half is used for the right gun. Your objective is to kill as many Berserker Splitters as possible without letting both auto-guns being destroyed. Future Perfect only.

Plainly Off His Rocker: Here you will get command of an auto-gun (Like in TSUG, except that there is only one this time) on the Scotland The Brave Stage. You'll use it to shoot down incoming airplanes, as well as an unknown visitor... It won't be really hard to complete this game, you can get Silver on your first try without even knowing what you actually must do. Another Future Perfect mini-game.

Jackpot: Inside the Khallos Express you'll find a machine in which you can play a little Jackpot game, when you however get Jackpot, sadly, nothing happens.

Line 'em up!: This is found inside the end of the Khallos Express and near the end of U-Genix. In here you must line up different colours to make the machines stop/start working. There are a total of 3 Line 'em up! mini-games in Future Perfect.

Monkey Mini-Games

These are the funniest Mini-Games of all, as they are new and unique.

TimeSplitters 2

Banana Chomp: Jojo the Monkey is losing his Bananas everywhere, they must be found within certain time, use the Temporal Uplink to trace the locations of the Bananas.

Simian Shootout: You must kill of all imitation clay monkeys here with your shotgun.

Monkey Mayhem: Ever heard of Circus Monkeys? They are monkeys that carry water melons around the stage during an act. You however must shoot out the Water Melons out of their hands, aim carefully!

Dam Bursters: The Russian Mafia plans on taking the Siberian Dam down by blasting it with cute little innocent Monkeys. You get to kill them before they reach the dam and inflict damage.

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect

Electro Chimp Discomatic: You'll be in the disco and you have the chance to make monkeys dance, however if you don't recharge them now and then they'll blow up. Make sure that they'll feel the groove, once you get used to it, it is pretty simple.

Melon Heist: This is the Monkey Mayhem of Future Perfect. You'll be a henchman of Khallos in The Russian Connection and Khallos gave you permission to shoot of all the Water Melons that the monkeys are carrying above their heads.

Brass Monkeys: The most unique of all Monkey Challenges. You'll play a little game of curling in which you must use monkeys to throw them towards the center, the closer you get to the center the more points you'll obtain.
