Sooenn Park

Sooenn Park was a diminuitive, owl-like first-time TA for Jeremy and Kevin's political theory class in Spring 2004. Her thick Korean accent led to several amusing pronunciations of basic political lexicon, such as "puppet city" (perfect city) and "de-jires" (desires). Her teaching style was partially based around drawing unusual analogies between political principles and the furniture of the classroom. Strangely enough, Jeremy found these unusual analogies quite helpful for understanding Plato's theory of "form" as well as that of "puppet city."
When Jeremy and Kevin had nothing to contribute to the class discussion while their first-time TA was frustrated at awkward silence of the room, Kevin typically would draw pictures of "Kalbi Bryant" and puppet cities and Jeremy made periodic lunges at his thighs. The class itself contained several eccentric personalities other than Jeremy, Kevin and the TA, including a brash Indian man who was inexplicably named Jensen Jose, as well as a sorority girl named Ashley who frequently took potshots at Jeremy's political perspective.
