Senior Year of High School, Brett, Gavin, Owen and Terry all took a photography class together.

Setting

Sharing a table in Ms. Tonkin's (only reason for being at Shorewood) class, these four Extended Group members experienced many trials and tribulations in the strange world of photographic art. Typically, class sessions involved inordinate amounts of time-wasting, peer review sessions in which Ms. Tonkin gives out arbitrary (and unhelpful) criticism, and tons of TA's who did absolutely nothing.

Notable Happenings

  • Making prints while a war was going on
  • Owen drawing: "Terry Lee rides a roller coaster for the first time"
  • Tonkin dismissing Brett's use of notebook paper for dividers as "Pretty lame, Hilyer"
  • Crazy substitute who stalked Owen, kept demanding, "Work harder, my boy! You must work harder!"
  • Lots of pointless videos
  • Tonkin bringing her dog to class.
  • Excursions to Alderwood Mall under the pretense of taking photos and getting stopped at the door for having our oversized black and white cameras.
  • Playing X-Men on the iMac in the room during classtime.
