Pizza Time refers to a plan by Brett and Jeremy to keep in touch during Freshman Year of College. A roughly 45-minute time slot was granted on Sunday evenings for a cell phone conversation between the high school friends, in the hopes of maintaining ties despite going to school in different states.

Etymology

Thought up at the end of Summer 2003, the project’s name was originally "Pizza Club," a Home Movies reference chosen strictly for the sake of irony (see Brett being ironic). Jeremy, less familiar with the show, began unwittingly calling it "Pizza Time," perhaps an unconscious reference to the NES game "Burger Time."

Implementation

Pizza Time sessions began the first week of Brett's classes (in August) and lasted nearly up until the start of the UW academic year. During these conversations, the two would generally reminisce about the days of old and memorable anecdotes (a predilection that would eventually lead Jeremy to create the Group Wiki Project). Brett would inevitably tell puns, and Jeremy would be Jeremy, all the while vocally stating the time they had spent on the phone, as if spending the entire dialogue in preparation for hanging up.

Eventually Pizza Time faded as the two participants' individual college lives kicked into gear. It is remembered in passing nowadays, and Brett occasionally cites it as counter-evidence to the idea that he has heroic "exploits" outside of group interactions, or is in any way more adjusted to life in the "real world."
