Circle of Indecision
From The Extended Group
A circle of indecision describes an instance of group members standing in an ellipse-like formation while they deliberate on possible activities to proceed with. These debates are famously unproductive, often leading to a prolonged state of inaction.
Occurrences
The first circles began appearing at Jeremy's house, usually after we had decided to leave, or Jeremy was kicking us out. In point of fact, the phenomenon manifests itself wherever there is a fairly large group of people idly leaving a now exhausted setting (such as the Park by Terry's). In recent months circles of indecision have become much more infrequent, and often at the first sign of one's formation someone will note the warning signs, precipitating more decisive action.
